Riley Green Announces New Album, Don’t Mind If I Do
The country superstar surprised a capacity crowd of music industry personnel, friends and family during the event and revealed the exciting news of his new 18 track project. “I got this album coming out! Something y’all may have seen the signage around of,” Green said, announcing his album and referencing the album art that was posted throughout the bar.
Riley Green’s new album, Don’t Mind If I Do, is set to arrive on October 18 via Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment/Big Machine Label Group. The release is especially meaningful as it also happens to be Green’s birthday.
“My brand-new album Don’t Mind If I Do will be out October 18,” Green shared. “It feels fitting that it’s coming out on my birthday because this project feels very true to who I am, where I come from and what I’ve learned along the way. I can’t wait for y’all to hear it!”
Duets With Luke Bryan And Ella Langley Appear On The Project
Green co-wrote 7 of the 18 tracks on the album and wrote 4 songs on his own, including the title track “Don’t Mind If I Do,” the highly-anticipated “Jesus Saves,” “Good Morning From Mexico,” and the much-talked-about sultry tune, “Worst Way.” The other 7 songs that Green didn’t have a hand in writing are outside cuts written by some of Nashville’s most sought-after songwriters, including Randy Montana, Dan Isbell, Matt Roy, Tucker Beathard, David Lee Murphy, Travis Denning, Benjy Davis, Wyatt McCubbin, Ben Williams and more.
Don’t Mind If I Do will also includes two duets, “Reel Problems” with Luke Bryan and “Don’t Mind If I Do” with his “You Look Like You Love Me” collaborator, Ella Langley.
According to a press release, with the project, produced by Dan Huff alongside executive producers Scott Borchetta and Jimmy Harnen, Green “leans even further into pulling inspiration from his small-town life in rural Alabama to deliver an honest, relatable and at times humorous 18-track project.”
Don’t Mind If I Do follows the release of his sophomore album, Ain’t My Last Rodeo, a project that features the chart-topping hit “Different ‘Round Here” and his current single, “Damn Good Day To Leave” in addition to the fan-favorite tracks such as “My Last Rodeo,” “Mississippi or Me,” “Damn Country Music,” “Copenhagen In A Cadillac (feat. Jelly Roll)” and more.
