It has just been revealed that Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann is currently in an intensive care unit at a hospital in Berlin, Germany having been diagnosed with COVID-19 the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.

On March 15, Till performed with his band Lindemann in Moscow, Russia and upon returning to his home country of Germany he was hospitalized with an incredibly high fever and later tested positive for the coronavirus. The hospital immediately sent Lindemann to the hospital’s intensive care unit and the singer was placed under strict quarantine.

Upon initial admittance to the hospital’s intensive care unit, Lindemann was in critical condition, however, new reports claim that Lindemann is now on the road to recovery and his life is no longer in danger.

Thus far, reports of COVID-19 diagnoses worldwide is quickly approaching the 600,000 number and there have been over 24,000 death all across the globe. As of this week, Germany has had over 34,000 confirmed cases of the virus and over 150 deaths.

We certainly wish Till Lindemann a quick and speedy recovery and there has yet to be any word if Lindemann’s diagnosis would have any effect on Rammstein’s upcoming North American tour slated to begin later this summer.
