The eight-time diamond-selling, ten-time Grammy-nominated superstar performed the classic patriotic tune on Sunday (Feb. 11) at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Donning a brown corduroy jacket over a white button-down shirt complete with a turquoise bolo tie and blue jeans, the 28-year-old strummed an acoustic guitar while belting out the lyrics to the tune that was penned by Katharine Lee Bate. Post Malone delivered a unique rendition of “America The Beautiful,” adding a country flair to the tune by including a steel guitar into the instrumental of the track.
The cameras panned to Taylor Swift and Blake Lively swaying along to the song during his performance.
Previous “America The Beautiful” include Babyface, Ray Charles, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend and more.
Post Malone Admitted He Was “Very Nervous” For The Performance
Ahead of his performance on Super Bowl LVIII, Post Malone opened up about the “nerve-wracking” opportunity during the Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show press conference.
“I’m very nervous,” Post Malone admitted, “But excited, I’m excited.” He then went on to explain that it’s going to be “fun and super epic” despite his nerves.
“It’s just fun and super epic to be able to go out there and sing a song so many beautiful artists have sang before on this stage. I’m just gonna do my best, just do my best, and give it what I got. My dad told me, ‘You’ll never make everybody happy. So just be yourself and do your best at everything you do.’ Do it your way and do it with love.”
