After much-anticipation since Election Day on Wednesday (Nov. 3), The votes have been tallied and following a win in P!nk’s home state of Pennsylvania on Saturday (Nov. 7), It has been announced that Joe Biden won President-Elect and Kamala Harris won Vice President-Elect.

In a social media post, the superstar says the news brought her to tears as she was overwhelmed with relief for the country.

“This news has brought me to tears. I was overwhelmed with relief for this country,” says P!nk.

Harris made history as the first Black, South Asian female Vice President and P!nk says that she is overwhelmed with happiness for her as she brings inspirations to girls across the globe.

She continued: “I was overwhelmed for Kamala and the inspiration that she brings to girls everywhere. Van Jones made me cry ugly tears. This country has so much work to do to come together. I pray we can do it.”

Upon hearing the news, Biden made a post on social media saying “America, I’m honored that you have chosen me to lead our great country.”
