Pentatonix put their harmonies on full display during their celebratory performance, which honored Queen.

The GRAMMY-award winning quintet, composed of vocalists Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola and Matt Sallee, performed a stunning cover of Queen’s fan-favorite single, “Somebody To Love” on Thursday (Nov. 4) during The Queen Family Singalong.

Throughout their performance, the five vocalists flawlessly harmonized to the iconic hit song.

“We are singing ‘Somebody To Love,’ which is a very fitting song for an a cappella group because it has lots of harmonies and lots of choir parts,” the group said ahead of their performance. “Which is another reason we love Queen so much because we are obsessed with harmonies and so is Queen.”

Ahead of their tribute to Queen, the group shared that the award-winning rock band’s music is timeless.

“I think that Queen’s music is unlike anything else. It’s theatrical, it’s fun, it’s fearless, it’s freedom of expression and I think that really connects with people on a deep level and so it’s going to endure forever,” the quintet said.

The Queen Family Singalong also featured performances from JoJo Siwa and Orianthi, Jimmie Allen, Fall Out Boy, OneRepublic, Derek Hough featuring Alexander Jean, Adam Lambert and more.

The Muppets’ Animal and Miss Piggy also made cameos during the show.

The 1-hour special celebrated 50 years of the iconic rock group, Queen, known for world-renowned tracks such as “Another One Bites The Dust,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Don’t Stop Me Now,” “Under Pressure,” “We Will Rock You,” We Are The Champions,” and so many other iconic songs.

The show was produced by Done+Dusted. Executive producers include Patrizia Di Maria, RJ Durell, Nick Florez, Hamish Hamilton, Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan. The Queen Family Singalong marks the fourth installment of its successful “Singalong” franchise, and follows The Disney Family Singalong, which premiered in April 2020.

Hosted by Darren Criss, The Queen Family Singalong aired on Thursday, November 4 at 8/7c on ABC.
