Parker McCollum temporarily halted production of his concert on Thursday (Jan. 18) at Spokane Arena in Spokane, Washington, to break up a fight in the crowd and kick out the two girls causing trouble. The incident occurred during his first show of the year, which also happened to be the kick-off to his Burn It Down Tour. The Spokane show also featured support from Larry Fleet and King Calaway.

Halted His Concert In Spokane To Address Two Fans Fighting

The country superstar was in the midst of performing “Speed” when he noticed a fight broke out in the crowd. McCollum promptly stopped the show to call out the two hecklers in the crowd who were causing a scene.

“What’s the deal? What’s going on right here? What happened?” McCollum asked as fans attempted to explain what was going on. Security made their way through the crowd to break up the fight, and McCollum demanded the venue staff to have the two disruptive individuals removed from the venue.

“Hey, well, both of them got to go, get ’em the f**k out of here,” McCollum told the Spokane Arena personnel. “People pay hard-earned money to come see a show and y’all gonna come in here and f**k it up six songs in.” As he watched the two concertgoers get escorted out of the arena, McCollum taunted the two fans by saying, “See ya! The wheels on the bus go round and round!”

McCollum then quickly returned to his performance, asking his band to get back into the song, beginning at the tune’s second chorus. “Hey, uh, second chorus,” he told his band before they launched back into “Speed.”

“Hammer down, never sticking around, head harder than a tree/ Foot on the gas, never looking back and always ready to leave/ I remember shaking my head when my old man told me/ ‘Boy, one of these days, you won’t always be hung up on speed,’” McCollum sang as he continued on with his headlining set.

Parker McCollum – Burn It Down Tour

McCollum is currently in the midst of his headlining Burn It Down Tour, a 41-date trek that kicked off on Thursday, January 18 at Spokane Arena in Spokane, WA. Produced by Emporium Presents, McCollum’s Burn It Down Tour will make stops in Dayton, New Orleans, Indianapolis, and more before wrapping up in Corpus Christi, TX at American Bank Center Arena on August 31, 2024.

“2024 is going to be the biggest and best show we have ever put together. I can’t wait for all the fans to come see what we are working up. The Burn It Down Tour is going to be absolutely epic,” the Texas native shared ahead of the Burn It Down Tour kick off.

Joining McCollum on select dates of the trek are special guests Corey Kent, Larry Fleet, George Birge, and Catie Offerman.

The Tour Takes Its Namesake From His Chart-Climbing Single, “Burn It Down”

The tour takes its namesake from his latest single, “Burn It Down,” which is currently climbing the charts at Country radio and will soon become his next chart-topping hit.

The tune, written by McCollum alongside Hillary Lindsey, Liz Rose and Lori McKenna, follows his third No. 1 hit, “Handle On You,” and finds the 31-year-old singer/songwriter in the ashes of a breakup. Throughout the song, he reflects on a heartbreak, recognizing that the woman he loved is gone, and their shared home is laden with painful memories. The song vividly portrays his desire to obliterate those memories by burning the house to the ground.

“Burn it down ’til it’s ashes and smoke/ Burn it down to the smolderin’ coals/ Burn it down ’til I don’t want you no more/ Baby, burn it down,” McCollum sings on the tune’s chorus.

“Burn It Down” appears on his latest album, Never Enough, which arrived in May 2023. The project follows the release of his major label debut, Gold Chain Cowboy.
