Billy Ray Cyrus and his fiancée, Firerose, are celebrating Noah Cyrus and her boyfriend Pinkus’ engagement.
The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer took to social media on Wednesday (June 28) to congratulate his daughter and Pinkus on their betrothal.
Billy Ray shared a sweet message for his daughter and her significant other alongside a photo of himself with Firerose, Noah, his grandson, Bear Chance Cyrus, and Stella McBride Cyrus, who is married to Billy Ray’s son, Brasion Cyrus.
“Congratulations @noahcyrus on your engagement! Wishing you and @pinkusss much love and happiness!” Billy Ray wrote.
Noah Cyrus Announced Her Engagement Earlier This Week
Noah took to Instagram on Monday (June 26) to share the exciting news of her engagement to the fashion designer, who owns COLORS Clothing Company.
In a heartfelt post, she showcased beautiful photos of herself and her fiancé, along with a captivating glimpse of her stunning engagement ring.
“The greatest moment of my entire life was saying “yes” to spending the rest of ours together,” Noah wrote at the time. ”This past month of being your fiancé and being in our own little world of just us two has been so perfect and i wish i could never leave this time. i never thought i would ever meet a man like you or someone so selfless and filled with so much love to give.”
She concluded, “i’m so grateful for you. i don’t know how i got so lucky … i would say ‘yes’ to you every day for the rest of my life.. i love you Pinks. i love you i love you i love you.”
Made Their Debut In April of 2023
While it’s unknown when the couple got together, they made their debut as a couple in a TikTok video in April and have also attended several fashion shows together.
“for once .. my happiness is leaking into my music,” she expressed, accompanying a video of herself and Pinkus sharing a kiss in a car, set to the tune of her latest single, “Everybody Needs Someone.”
Billy Ray Cyrus Engaged To Firerose Seven Months Ago
The new comes seven months after Billy Ray Cyrus revealed that he and Firerose are also engaged.
Billy Ray, 61, and Firerose, 34, confirmed the news to PEOPLE in the fall of 2022, revealing that they were engaged in August of 2022.
“She’s the real deal,” Cyrus exclaimed while confirming their engagement to the outlet.
The low-key proposal took place in August of 2022 after Firerose moved into Cyrus’ house on his Franklin, Tenn. farm. According to the couple, the proposal was different from any other as there was no ring or bending of the knee involved.
Billy Ray Cyrus simply popped the question to the 34-year-old in his home and she quickly said “yes.”
“Billy looked at me and said, ‘Do you, do you wanna marry me?’ And I was just like, ‘Of course I do. I love you,’ ” Firerose explained to the outlet. “He said, ‘I love you. I wanna make this official. I wanna be with you forever.’ “
Firerose Designed Her Own Custom Engagement Ring
Firerose later picked out and designed her own custom diamond ring.
“I’ve spent my life worried about things that are beyond my control. But at this spot in my life, knowing that all you really have is the happiness that you feel inside your mind and your heart…” Cyrus stopped and began to cry. “Finding Firerose and getting engaged and then losing my mom [a few weeks later]—see? The teeter-totter will not stay in the middle, but having somebody to ride it out with now—that’s giving me a little more balance.”
Billy Ray and Firerose Met On Set Of Hannah Montana
While confirming their engagement to PEOPLE, Cyrus also revealed that the pair met on the set of his daughter Miley Cyrus‘ Disney Channel series, Hannah Montana, many years ago.
“I loved doing that show,” Cyrus recalled before explaining, “There’s a couple old pine trees on the lot that look like Tennessee. [My dog] Tex and I would go out there in the middle of the day and he’d take care of his business and we’d stretch and I’d think how much I missed Tennessee. On that given day, Firerose came out of the front door. There was almost a moment of, I don’t know, recognition. I was like, ‘This girl’s a star.’”
Since meeting, the pair formed a friendship and kept in touch with each other.
“Our friendship was so solid over the years,” Cyrus added. “She plays all of her own instruments and writes her own songs. We began sharing music, and it just evolved.”
Divorce From Tish Cyrus
The last year was a difficult one for Cyrus as he lost his mother, Ruth, and was also going through divorce from his now ex-wife Tish Cyrus, who is the mother to four of his children, daughters Miley, 29, Brandi, 35, and Noah, 22, as well as sons Trace, 33, and Braison, 28.
The news comes on the heels of the release of the couple’s new duet, “Time.” The newly engaged artists brought the song to life through a new music video. The clip features home videos of the couple sharing tender moments together at home and around Cyrus’ farm.
Noah Cyrus, who released her debut album, The Hardest Part, in 2022, is gearing up to hit the road on her headlining tour.
The Hardest Part Tour kicks off on August 24 in Vancouver, BC and continues through October 1, where the trek will wrap up in Columbia, MO.
