Fans were broken-hearted when it was announced that Motley Crue’s mega-stadium tour was postponed last year. Crue was set to hit the road with fellow rockers Def Leppard and Poison. Fans have been eagerly anticipating updates on when things will get rescheduled.

Motley Crue’s bassist Nikki Sixx gave a brief update on the tour and it definitely sounds optimistic.

“As soon as we get the green light we’re excited to get out and tour!” Sixx shared. He went on to express concern not only for the safety of fans but for the bands and crew members as well.

The award-winning rock band is celebrating their 40th year anniversary this year, after forming back in 1981. Most recently, the band’s music was part of the new season of American Idol, as one contestant perform a unique rendition of one of their songs.

The band certainly can’t wait to return to the road to do what they do best, give fans a blistering rock show!

The Stadium Tour is now tentatively scheduled to begin on June 19th in Nashville, TN, and wrap up in San Diego, CA on September 12th.
