Get Rollin’, released on November 18, 2022 via BMG, acted as the group’s first album to drop since 2017’s Feed the Machine five years ago. The project debuted at the number two spot among the Current Rock, Alternative, Hard Music and Digital Album charts. The album also secured the number three spot on the ARIA Album Chart and landed in the Top 10 in the UK, Canada, Germany, Australia and Austria. In Switzerland, Get Rollin’ debuted at #1, a career first for Nickelback.

The highly acclaimed ‘70s-styled project combines adventure, nostalgia and emotional exploration, putting another successful record in the books for the Grammy-nominated group. While their signature sound still remains, the tracks included on their newest project have a more mature feel than some of their party-hearty songs from earlier on in their careers.

“… you get to a certain age where … I’m 47 years old, and there’s certain things that you just don’t want to see a 47-year-old dude sing onstage. So, the subject matter has definitely changed. There’s moments where I look over at [guitarist] Ryan [Peake] when he has to harmonize with certain lines. He’s got a daughter, and I just watch him squirm. He gets so squeamish when he has to sing some of this stuff, and I just think it’s so funny,” explained Chad Kroeger, front man-guitarist, in an interview with Billboard.

Nickelback will hit another career high in March as they are set to be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame during the JUNO Awards on March 13, 2023.
