Morgan Wallen took “smash cake a little too literally” at son’s first birthday party.

Wallen, his ex-fiancée Smith and their families celebrated Indigo Wilder’s milestone birthday on Saturday (July 10) with a cowboy-themed birthday party at the GratiDude Ranch in Franklin, Tennessee.

“Aww 💙 hahaha dude is gonna hate cakes forever 🎂😵,” Wallen’s sister Ashlyne commented on the photo he shared of his son’s first birthday. Wallen quickly responded, “And yeah I took “smash cake” a little too literally.”

A smash cake is a cake specifically created with the purpose of allowing the 1-year-old child to make a mess on their special day without getting in trouble. However, it seems Indie didn’t to enjoy having cake smashed into his face as he is seen in photos crying.

See photos of the cake smash moments below.

The party not only included a smash cake for Indie but it also included a three tier ‘my first rodeo’ birthday cake, custom baked cookies by Sips To Sugars bakery, a horse piñata, a community barn area, a petting zoo with 20+ farm animals, pony rides and more.

In attendance at the party was Wallen’s closest relatives, including his mother Lesli and sister’s Mikaela and Ashlyne.

In addition to Wallen’s family, his ex-fiancée Smith’s family also attended the birthday party on the farm.

Wallen and Smith welcomed Indigo Wilder on Friday, July 10, 2020 at 5:43 p.m, Indie weighed 6lbs, 13oz at birth. Indigo is the first child for both Wallen and Smith, the couple were engaged for 3 years before breaking up in 2019.

Additionally, when first welcoming his son into the world he made him a promise to himself that he’ll be the dad that Indie deserves, but he also previously admitted that he “didn’t know what being a dad would feel like” and says he was “honestly a little scared” at first.

However, Wallen previously shared that being a dad is “the coolest damn feeling, and I’m ready for whatever God has planned for me and my little guy.”
