The fans have spoken and Morgan Wallen has been crowned the winner of two Country Now Awards: Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Album for his record-breaking project, Dangerous: The Double Album.
The news was announced on Wednesday evening (Dec. 8) during the inaugural Country Now Awards livestream, where Wallen made a special appearance.
Lainey Wilson first presented Wallen as the winner in the Favorite Male Artist category. Then, ERNEST made a special appearance to reveal Wallen as the winner in the Favorite Album Category.
“It’s an honor. I know that this is all fan voted, so that’s what means the most to me about this award. As you guys know, it’s been an interesting year for me and my team and everyone involved and what’s been going on, but the overall response to it has really outshone everything else,” Wallen said.
He went on to share his gratitude for his fans.
“You know, it’s easy to focus on the bad things sometimes, but you guys have made the good things so overwhelming that I get to focus on that and that means a lot to me. It means a lot that I get to accept this award on y’alls behalf, so thank you and God bless you. I appreciate you listening to my music. I appreciate you connecting with it the way you do, and I hope my next album connects the same way. Y’all be good.”
Morgan Wallen’s Dangerous: The Double Album closed out the year as the best-selling album of any genre.
In 2022, he will embark on his 54-date Dangerous Tour, which is sold out in many markets.
