Megan Moroney is staying busy ahead of the February 20 release of her new album, Cloud 9, recently making time to visit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and perform for patients there. Playing a pink rhinestoned guitar in theme with the color story of her new album, Moroney delivered an acoustic performance of her song “Beautiful Things,” sharing that “there’s a lot of hope in this song.”
The song is an encouraging anthem for anyone who might be feeling down, and Moroney continued its uplifting theme by having the patients in the audience write one “beautiful thing” that they turn to “when times get hard.”
Along with her performance, the country star chatted with some of the patients at the hospital in a series of interviews, asking them about what they had written. One young patient shared “sparkles and rhinestones” as her answer, which prompted Moroney to display her rhinestone-covered cowboy boots.
Another patient named Faith shared that her “beautiful thing” is her family, who have been at St. Jude’s with her “throughout my whole treatment.” When Moroney asked Faith what she thinks the “best thing about St. Jude’s” is, Faith responded that it “doesn’t feel like a hospital.” “It really doesn’t,” she said. “Even though you’re going through such hard times. All the people you meet here, sweetest people you ever meet in your life.”
Moroney agreed, sharing, “I feel like St. Jude is just such an amazing place and even when you’re in here, you can feel the love.” The two also talked about their hobbies and found that they had “scrolling on TikTok” in common, as Moroney joked, “That’s also one of my hobbies.”

Faith further opened up about the “Six Month Later” singer’s visit in an essay for St. Jude’s, writing that chatting with Moroney was “so much fun.” “At first, of course, I was nervous to say hi, like scared about how the conversation would go,” she wrote. “But as soon as we started talking, it was literally like we’d known each other for 10 years and were just catching up.”
The young girl wrote that it “means absolutely everything to me” that Moroney is a supporter of St. Jude, and that “it’s amazing when people with such a big influence spread St. Jude awareness.”
“Having support from people like that is always needed,” she wrote. “So, the fact that she took time out of her busy schedule to come see us and do whatever she could for St. Jude is so appreciated. I can’t speak for every single patient, but it’s such a blessing to have people like that just trying to do their best, and I’m really proud to call her my friend.”
Faith added that she has tickets to see Moroney’s upcoming show in Oklahoma, which is part of her The Cloud 9 Tour. Visiting arenas across the country and in Europe, the tour will support Moroney’s new album and kicks off on May 29 in Columbus, Ohio. Her Oklahoma date is on August 15 in Tulsa, and she’ll visit other major U.S. cities like Atlanta, Boston, Los Angeles, Dallas, Nashville and more before crossing the pond for a handful of European dates wrapping in Belfast, United Kingdom on October 1.
