Maren Morris teamed up with her husband, Ryan Hurd for a special performance at Monday (April 11) night’s CMT Music Awards.

The pair sang “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” a duet featured on Morris’ third studio album, Humble Quest, which was released in late March. In addition, Hurd played guitar while Morris opted for a tambourine during the performance.

“Shoulda known what I was getting in / Fallin’ for a boy from Michigan / You love your mom like every Midwest kid / You like driving to Texas / You put up with all my exes / To deserve you, don’t know what the hell I did,” Morris sang on the first verse of the song before Hurd joined her for the chorus.

Following their duet, Morris posted photos of her and Hurd on stage to her Instagram feed. “You’re so good lookin’ it kinda makes me sick,” she wrote, referencing a lyric from the song. “Got to debut ‘I Can’t Love You Anymore’ last night on the @cmt awards with my ride or die ✨,” she added.

Hurd also shared photos of he and Morris’ performance, writing a simple caption: “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” also tagging his wife, Morris, CMT, and the photographer for the image.

This is not the first time that the married couple have sung a duet together, as the pair previously released “Chasing After You,” a track that appears on Hurd’s debut album, Pelago, which they performed together during several notable shows. The song went No. 1 at country radio nine months after its release.

Morris and Hurd shared the stage and performed “Chasing After You” at the 2021 ACM Awards.

“‘Chasing After You’ Live at The ACM Awards,” Hurd wrote, sharing a video of the performance on Instagram. “If I never get to do it again, I’m happy it was with you. Thank you, @acmawards, for the stage and @marenmorris for everything else. Check that one off the list 🙏🏼.”

Offstage, the pair shares a two-year-old son, Hayes.

The 2022 CMT Music Awards featured performances from Kane Brown, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Walker Hayes, Old Dominion, Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Cody Johnson, and more.

Also taking the stage with never-before-seen collaborations were Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd, Jason Aldean and Bryan Adams, Jimmie Allen with Monica and Little Big Town, Mickey Guyton and Black Pumas, Thomas Rhett and Riley Green, Cole Swindell and Lainey Wilson. The Judds also joined forces for their first televised performance in over two decades.

Presenters for Country Music’s Biggest Party included Gabby Barrett, Faith Hill, Isabel May, Jimmie Allen, Rob Corddry, Jordan Davis, Billy F. Gibbons, Gayle King, Taylor Lautner, Dustin Lynch, Martina McBride, Joel McHale, Kacey Musgraves, Queer Eye’s Bobby Berk, Karamo Brown, Tan France + Antoni Porowski, LeAnn Rimes, Dylan Scott, and Dennis Quaid.
