Luke Combs gave fans an update on his forthcoming new album, which has yet-to-be announced.

New Album In The Works From Luke Combs

On March 25, the country superstar took to social media to let his fan, known as The Bootleggers, know that he is hard at work on his eighth studio album.

“I’ve been spending the last couple of weeks working on what my next record looks like and as it begins to take shape I can honestly say I’ve never felt better about one at this stage,” he explained. He then went on to tease that while he knows “it’s early on,” that he think this next project could “wind up being the best record I’ve ever made.”

At this time, Luke Combs’ unannounced new album does not yet have a release date or name.

Will Follow Release Of Fathers & Sons

The upcoming project will follow the release of his sentimental seventh studio album, Fathers & Sons, which arrived via Columbia Nashville/Seven Ridges Records nearly a year ago on June 14, 2024. Produced by Combs alongside Chip Matthews and Jonathan Singleton, Fathers & Sons served as an ode to fatherhood and featured 12 tracks, including “The Man He Sees In Me,” “Front Door Famous,” “In Case I Ain’t Around,” “Remember Him That Way,” “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” and more.

“There’s so many different experiences that people have as a child or as a parent or as a grandparent or whatever. And it’s like, I went there to be a little bit of a taste of all of that on the record,” he previously told Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe during an interview about Fathers & Sons. “Because I know that I think sometimes selfishly, I’m like, ‘Man, everybody must feel this way.’ But I have friends that come from divorced homes. I have friends that didn’t have a dad around. There are those experiences. So it would be kind of shortsighted, I think, to have just made it.

Recently Inducted Into Music City Walk of Fame

Luke Combs was recently inducted into the Music City Walk of Fame in Nashville, where he received the 109th star in Nashville’s Walk of Fame Park. The country superstar and two-time CMA Entertainer of the Year attended the ceremony at Music City Walk of Fame Park in Downtown Nashville to accept the esteemed honor in person and commemorate the milestone achievement.

“I never prepare a speech for these things, which is at times been a downfall of mine, and I’ll readily admit that. But things that I want to talk about today are… we never start in this business to get recognized or win awards,” Luke Combs said during his acceptance speech. “We start with a love of music right, and that’s what I have. I’ve been singing ever since I was a kid. It’s one of the only things that I feel like I’m actually really good at, and I’m very, very blessed to be able to do that on the scale beyond my wildest dreams. So it’s so incredible to get to be standing up here today. To be on this walk of fame is again something that I never could have planned for.”

He was also awarded the CRS 2025 Humanitarian Award at the 2025 Country Radio Seminar alongside his music hero and friend Eric Church earlier this year.

Additionally, he will also return to Miramar Beach, Florida, for his second annual Bootleggers Bonfire, which will take place at the Seascape Resort from October 23 through October 25. Luke Combs will serve as the event’s headlining act. In addition to Luke Combs, The Castellows, David Lee Murphy, Dylan Marlowe and Ella Langley will also perform over the course of the fun-filled weekend getaway.
