Luke Combs may be the one preparing for two major performances at the 59th Annual CMA Awards, but his wife, Nicole Combs, captured the early spotlight on Wednesday night.

The glowing mom-to-be dazzled on the red carpet, proudly showcasing her adorable baby bump as the couple enjoyed a rare, magical date-night ahead of welcoming their third child. The country superstar, 35, and his wife, 33, stood side by side as they were dressed to the nines, soaking in the moment which found them temporarily stepping away from the busy life of parenting two toddlers.

For their red carpet look, Combs wore a maroon paisley suit jacket over an all black ensemble, while his bride turned heads in a golden dress. She was the mom-to-be, resting one hand on her growing tummy while smiling for the camera. The rest of the Combs crew, sons Tex Lawrence, 3, and Beau Lee, 2, stayed home as the couple celebrated the evening together, savoring the excitement of their growing family.

Combs and Nicole first announced they were expecting baby No. 3 back in September in a heartwarming video set to the country singer’s sentimental track “Days Like These.” Tex and Beau appeared to respond to the news with pure joy, throwing their hands in the air as the caption reads, “Third time’s a charm! ✨ Baby #3 coming this winter 🤍.”

Tex, born in June 2022, made the Combs couple first-time parents, followed by Beau in August 2023. Their family journey has unfolded just as beautifully as their love story, which began in 2016 at a songwriter’s festival in Florida. At the time, Combs was still a “starving artist,” and Nicole invited him to join her and her friends. That small gesture turned into something much greater. Nicole has shared that her connection with Combs deepened when she realized she could be completely herself around him.

“We’re all weird, but we get to choose who to share that side of us with,” she said, according to TODAY. “We could be each other’s weird in front of each other. That’s when it was like, ‘You know what? This guy’s a keeper.”

By November 2018, the couple were engaged. Combs announced the news on Instagram with a sweet photo of him kissing Nicole’s forehead, writing, “She said yes a while ago, but this is a way better place to take pictures than the kitchen. Can’t wait to spend forever with you.”

The pair married two years later in 2020.

Tonight, Combs is up for several major awards, including Entertainer of the Year, an honor he has already won three consecutive times in 2021, 2022, and 2023. He is in the running alongside the evening’s host, Lainey Wilson, Morgan Wallen, Cody Johnson, and Chris Stapleton. Combs has also earned a nod for Male Vocalist of the Year and Single of the Year for “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma.” He will also deliver two performances, including a collaboration with BigXThePlug on “Pray Hard.”

The star-studded telecast, hosted by Lainey Wilson, airs live from Nashville on ABC from 8–11 PM ET, with next-day streaming available on Hulu.
