Luke Bryan and his family are quite the fun bunch from pranksmas to just everyday fun. Bryan shared his family’s Christmas tradition and it’s a very unique one.

Bryan said that him, his wife Caroline, his mom LeClaire and his kids have a pajama night that is complete with chili hotdogs on Christmas Eve each year.

“We have a pajama night and we do chili dogs on Christmas Eve, and we’ve always done that.” Bryan explained. “My mother comes up and we go shop. She makes me go shop with her, so we have to pick out all the right stuff.”

However, it’s not just your typical chili dogs as he says its “very important” to have the proper buns and wieners for the occasion.

“We have to get the proper buns, the proper wieners. It’s very important,” Bryan said. “All beef wieners for the chili dog cooking. It’s a ritual. So, we’re eating chili dogs in pajamas, and so it’s special anytime you can come up with fun traditions and hold true to them. Yeah, so cooking chili dogs in a onesie is pretty special.”

The “Down To One” singer then explained that his absolute favorite part of the Christmas holiday is watching his kids excitement on Christmas morning.

“My favorite part of the holidays obviously is watching the kids, watching the boys’ excitement for what they may or may not be getting and watching them tear open Christmas presents on Christmas morning,” Bryan shared. “You got the fireplace going. You got Christmas music on the TV. You’ve got – you get up at 6am. You’re exhausted and you’ve got all your family there.  It doesn’t get any better than certainly waking up on Christmas mornings and just having that special time.”

Bryan is currently in the process of filming his judge portions and promo for the upcoming season of American Idol. He also just unleashed his latest single “Down To One” on Country radio.
