Luke Bryan’s Proud To Be Right Here Tour stop in Bristow, Virginia was a special one! Not only was it the “Down To One” singer’s 45th Birthday, he sang a duet with a 7-year-old fan and he also assisted in helping with an extra special request, an adoption.
On Saturday (July 17), the reigning ACM Entertainer Of The Year was tossed a black t-shirt from someone in the crowd, but it wasn’t just any t-shirt. The shirt came with a very special request on it. In orange print, the shirt read, “Hey Luke, I want to adopt my step-son Michael. Can you help me ask him?”
After reading the shirt to the sold out crowd on stage, the country superstar handed the microphone off to Michael and his soon-to-be Dad. The clip shows step-son Michael accepting his now adopted father’s offer.
“That’s the coolest thing I’ve ever watched right there y’all,” Bryan said after witnessing the adoption in the front row of the crowd. “Michael, you got a good dude right there standing behind you buddy. That’s awesome. Congratulations y’all.”
Following Bryan’s congratulatory message to the Father and son, the crowd surrounded them all congratulated and fist pounded the adopting Father.

Adoption hits close to home for Bryan and his family as he and his wife Caroline adopted his nieces and nephew, Tilden (“Til”), 19, Jordan, 26, and Kris, 23, following the tragic passing of his late sister Kelly.
“We never thought twice about it,” Bryan’s wife previously explained in an interview. “You know, it was never something that he and I had to sit down and talk about. ‘Should we take this on?’ We just did that.”
In addition to Bryan’s three adopted children, he also shared two boys with his wife Caroline, Thomas, 13, and Tatum, 10.
