Louis Tomlinson brought his sold-out World Tour to The Met in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Tuesday evening (Feb. 15). The tour, which is in support of his debut album, WALLS, also featured support from Sun Room. Presented by Live Nation, the trek marks the Doncaster native’s first-ever headlining tour in the U.S. as a solo artist and it’s completely sold-out.

Tomlinson offered a 18-song set, including fan-favorite hits such as “We Made It,” “Always You,” “Defenceless,” “Only The Brave,” “Kill My Mind,” “Just Hold On,” as well as the title track to his debut solo album, “Walls.” In addition to performing his solo material, the 30-year-old also featured several One Direction tracks within his set, including “Drag Me Down,” “Little Black Dress” and “Through The Dark.”

His set list also featured two covers, one of Catfish And The Bottlemen’s “7” and another of Kings Of Leon’s “Beautiful War,” which we must note was the best cover we’ve ever heard of the track.

Throughout the evening, a sea of thousands of Tomlinson’s fans showcased their loyalty to the One Direction singer/songwriter as they sang a long to every song at the top of their lungs as well as concluded most of his performances with a deafening applause and thunderous cheers.

The chart-topping hitmaker delivered a confident performance that proved his star power and showcased his growth as an entertainer, further proving that his he can carry his own weight as a talented solo artist.

The superstar more than lived up to the hype with a set that fans won’t soon forget amongst a top-notch production that even included his signature smiley face logo.

The trek comes in support of his debut solo album, WALLS, which was released in January 2020. The album has gone on to sell over a million copies since its release and has reached No. 1 on Worldwide iTunes Album Chart and No. 1 on iTunes Album Chart in 50 countries. The project also debuted at No. 4 on the UK Official Charts, No. 2 for UK Official Album sales as well as No. 8 on Rolling Stone’s Top Albums Chart and No. 9 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Recently, on August 30, 2021, Tomlinson hosted and headlined his own one-day free music event in London, dubbed The Away From Home Festival, which was entirely curated by the “Walls” singer himself. The festival hosted 8,500 fans at Crystal Palace Bowl and followed his record-breaking Live From London livestream concert, which took place in December 2020 and broke the Guinness World Record for most tickets sold for a livestreamed concert by a solo male artist.

In May 2021, Tomlinson signed a global partnership with BMG, so stay tuned for new music coming in the near future.
