Zac Brown Band is giving new life to their current single, “Out in the Middle” with a brand-new version of the song featuring country superstar Blake Shelton.

Out now, the foot-stomping anthem features vocals from ZBB frontman Zac Brown blended seamlessly with Shelton’s signature pipes.

The song is a celebration of rural life.

“Out in the middle where the hard work meets hard living/ Out in the middle where we’re grown ’til we’re gone, God willing/ Just some good old boys and good old girls/ Hunting red dirt dreams in a concrete world/ Getting by on just a little, out in the middle,” they sing on the chorus.

ZBB and Shelton’s version of “Out in the Middle” will be included on the upcoming deluxe version of Zac Brown Band’s The Comeback album, which will be released this fall. The project will feature several of ZBB’s friends and musical heroes.

“‘The Comeback’ is the best album we’ve ever made, and to re-record a few tracks with some musical legends was such an honor. Blake Shelton is a country music powerhouse and sharing ‘Out in the Middle’ with him, a song that represents our southern roots and country pride, is absolutely unreal,” ZBB shared. “We’re so grateful to do what we do and we can’t wait to share the full album with our fans.”

“I’ve always been such a big fan of Zac as an artist and especially as a songwriter,” Shelton added. “This song in particular really resonated with me. It reminds me of how I was raised and where I come from – out in the middle!”

Upon its release, The Comeback earned the No.1 spot Current Country Albums Sales chart and was the Top New Country Album Release. The deluxe version of the album will be released this fall and will be available for pre-order beginning July 15.
