Walker Hayes’ new song will have you dancing along to its irresistible melody.

The viral hitmaker shared “U Gurl” on Friday, October 15. Inspired by his wife Laney, who’ve been together for 17 years, and co-written by Hayes alongside Dylan Guthro and Jodi Guthro, “U Gurl” finds the Alabama native singing about the feeling he gets each and every time he looks at his wife.

“With ‘U Gurl’ we wanted to capture that feeling when you look at your significant other, and you just can’t take your eyes off them, yet in a fresh way,” Hayes said in a press release. “I get that feeling every day when I look at my wife.”

“Guys like me like girls that look like / U girl / Cherry bottom boom girl / Every shade of blue jeans look mean with a body like that / Oh woo girl / Southern through and through girl / Do what you do girl / Guys like me like girls that look like u girl,” Hayes sings in the chorus that just makes you want to move.

Listen to the anthemic track below.

“U Gurl” follows Hayes’ viral hit “Fancy Like,” which took TikTok by storm with the dance as well as put the Oreo Milkshake back on the Applebee’s menu, not to mention also appears in an Applebee’s commercial.

Additionally, Hayes’ recently made his awards show debut at CMT’s Artists Of The Year ceremony, where he performed “Fancy Like” and got some of the event’s star-studded guests up and dancing, including Kane Brown, Gabby Barrett and more.
