Gabby Barrett dropped a brand-new song called “Pick Me Up.”
The country superstar shared a new song from her upcoming deluxe edition of her record-breaking debut album, Goldmine, on Friday (Nov. 5).
“I’m so very excited about this song,” Barrett gushed. “I love it so much. I wrote this with Ross Copperman and Jon Nite. I’ll say that it’s a very laid back, easy country song, because I didn’t really have one of those in my repertoire, if you want to say. And so when we were writing this song, it’s just very laid back and very country vibes. So I love it so much, and I’m excited for everybody to hear it. That’s why I wanted to release it a little bit sooner than when the whole deluxe comes out.”
“So pick me up, get me lost way out / Down a back two-lane, little George Strait / way on up, get me out of my head / And out of this town, and tell me no matter what / You’ll be by my side, everything gonna be alright / Make the world go black, how you do me like that? / Wanna climb up in your truck, just pick me up,” Barrett sings in the chorus of the new song.
