Lil Nas X was forced to stop his concert and abruptly exit the stage in Atlanta, Georgia on Wednesday evening (Sept. 28) at the Coca-Cola Roxy for an “bathroom emergency.”

In the midst of his headlining set on the Long Live Montero Tour, the chart-topping hitmaker left the stage to use the bathroom, leaving fans confused.

“I’m backstage and this is, like, not a part of the show,” he told the crowd over the microphone while using the restroom, according to footage shared by a concertgoer on Twitter. “But I’m taking a mean sh-t, so please be [patient], but I’m gonna be, like, a minute or two, and I’ll be right back.”

The announcement from Lil Nas X has the crowd erupting into laughter as they found it hysterical that he just shared that he is currently using the toilet in the midst of the concert. Not only did the fans at the show get a good laugh out of the now viral moment, but so did social media users across the globe as the video quickly amassed over 3.4 million views.

Many fans on social media praised him as being “real,” while others said “he’s just like me,” “I know that walk after going be mean.” Meanwhile, others found it comical, saying “LMAO” and “it was hilarious,” while one fan even questioned, “I always wondered what that’s like having to use the toilet in the middle of a performance lol.”

Lil Nas X even poked fun on Twitter, writing, “lmao people really thought i was joking, i was literally back there dropping demons into that toilet.”

The hitmaker is currently on the road in the midst of his headlining Long Live Montero tour, which comes in support of his debut studio album, Montero. The trek, which kicked off on September 6 in Detroit, Michigan, continues through November 17, where it will wrap up in Barcelona.

The 23-date Long Live Montero Tour will visit North America and parts of Europe. He will also perform an exclusive concert in Sydney, Australia at Hordern Pavilion on January 4, 2023.

The trek marks Lil Nas X’s first-ever headlining tour.

Lil Nas X’s next scheduled tour date for the Long Live Montero Tour is on Sunday, October 2, at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.

Additionally, Lil Nas X recently released a brand-new song called “Star Walkin’,” which you can listen to below.
