Lainey Wilson is paying homage to her signature bell bottom style with the release of her brand-new track, “Bell Bottoms Up,” released on Friday (April 4) via Broken Bow Records/BBR Music Group, just in time for National Bell Bottoms Day, which is on April 5.

Lainey Wilson Releases “Bell Bottoms Up” Just In Time For National Bell Bottoms Day

Co-written by Wilson alongside her touring band — Aslan Freeman, Kevin Nolan, Matt Nolan, and Tommy Scifres — as well as her longtime friend Meg McRee, “Bell Bottoms Up” is a rowdy, retro-inspired anthem celebrating self-confidence, southern sass, and being the life of the party. Backed by a honky-tonk beat and cheeky wordplay, the tune finds Wilson embracing her bold personality and style, painting herself as a homegrown wrecking ball who’s just getting started.

“Well I’m a homegrown, roll your own, light it up life of the party/ Yeah I’m a last call, wrecking ball, I’m tellin’ y’all I’m just gettin’ started/ I’m fillin’ up these jeans like I do my cup/ Throwback, throw down, bell bottoms/ Line ’em up, shoot ’em back if you got ’em/ Throwback, throw down, bell bottoms up/ bell bottoms up, bell bottoms up, bell bottoms up,” Wilson sings on the boot-tapping chorus.

The high-energy track, produced by Lainey Wilson and Aslan Freeman, was recorded at the historic Abbey Road Studios in London.

The Song Serves As The Anthem To Her Nashville Bar

The song is the anthem to her Nashville bar, Lainey Wilson’s Bell Bottoms Up, located at 120 3rd Avenue South, which opened its doors in May of 2024. The 27,000 square-foot, four-story establishment features three live music stages, six bars, a rooftop with a dance floor and Nashville’s first-ever dueling piano bar, Bayou Keys, in the basement with craft cocktails and live music, inspired by Wilson’s Louisiana roots.

The drink menu at Bell Bottoms Up Bar has many of handcrafted, signature cocktails to choose from, including drinks inspired by some of Lainey Wilson’s songs such as “Dreamcatcher,” “Road Runner,” and there’s even a drink named after Yellowstone, a popular TV series that she appeared on as Abbey.
