Kid Rock and Lee Brice revealed what viewers can expect from Turning Point USA’s All-American Halftime Show, which will take place at the same time as the Super Bowl LX Apple Music Halftime Show on Sunday (Feb. 8).
Kid Rock said to “expect the unexpected” for his performance at the All-American Halftime Show as he plans to shock viewers. “I plan to come out pretty classic rock in your face, high energy, what people would expect [from me], but then it turns very quickly,” he revealed to Fox News. “Musically, I know that nothing beats a great song. That’s the most powerful thing. No performance, no pyro, [and] no lighting will beat a great song.”
“So I’m going to flip a 180 and do what I think is one of the best-written songs in a long time,” Kid Rock continued, which fans think he is referencing “‘Til You Can’t” by Cody Johnson. On November 8, 2025, he covered the Johnson track and added in a new verse that paid tribute to the late Charlie Kirk during his Hondo Rodeo Fest performance, and it’s assumed that he will perform the song again as part of his All-American Halftime Show set.

Kid Rock continued to explain, “It’s a pretty current last few years country song. And it’s just one of the greatest written songs that I’ve heard in a long time. And I did it in a very unique way. It’s by a friend of mine who’s a very talented, famous artist, one of the best singers in country music. I don’t want to give it away. And I actually wrote something new for it that I thought they missed when they were writing this beautiful song.”
He added that the song will actually be released to streaming services on Monday (Feb. 9) following his performance, “And we recorded it a while back, and I said, ‘Man, if we’re going to play it, why don’t we put it out for people that night?’”
As for Lee Brice’s performance, he told Fox News that he has a seven-minute set and that Kid Rock will perform for eight minutes. “It’s really so cool. We went through it all. We’ve talked about it. We’ve got it all planned out. I think it’s going to be really fun, kind of a mashup of stuff, just like any Super Bowl Halftime, which is, again, what we get to do. This is going to be really fun,” he told the outlet.

Of his reasoning for participating in the event, Brice explained, “I didn’t get asked to play the other Super Bowl, but I did get asked to do this and be a part of something that I believe in… I’m like, this is going to be so much fun. Standing up and being a part of something that is who I am and is Brantley and Bob (Kid Rock) and Gabby, we are truly all excited… And Charlie Kirk wanted everybody to have a microphone, and it’s got a celebration of…what he believed in and what he brought to the table. And I’m just proud. I’m proud to be an American, and I’m excited. I’m a musician. I get to go play music.”
Brice also revealed to Breitbart News that one important song he will perform at the All-American Halftime Show is called “Country Nowadays” from his forthcoming new 30-track album, which has yet to be announced. He shared a snippet of the song’s chorus during the interview; however, fans will have to wait for its live debut during Turning Point USA’s All-American Halftime Show later this evening.
“It ain’t easy being country/ in this country nowadays/ the direction of fingers point/ when it all goes up in flames/ saying I’m some right wing deal/ because I was downside red letter raised/ it ain’t easy being country/ in this country nowadays/ in this country nowadays,” Brice sang.
Another song that is expected to make an appearance on Brice’s set list is “When the Kingdom Comes,” a track he wrote before Charlie Kirk’s tragic death but that he felt inspired to sing in honor of Kirk. “My wife [Sara Brice] and I sat down, and this song came about, and it was the most special song. I’ve got about 30 songs coming out on my new record…And I always said, if I had to play one song only out of all 30, this would be the song I played, period. For anybody, anywhere, anytime, and it was already written, but when Charlie was assassinated, it reigned to me that he was grounded in his faith, and all I thought was, ‘You know what? I think you would love to look down and hear this song.’”
He debuted “When the Kingdom Comes” during a performance on September 11 in Florida, where he dedicated the track to Kirk, as he stated it’s about what Kirk “so adamantly stood for.”
In addition to Kid Rock and Lee Brice, Gabby Barrett and Brantley Gilbert will also perform during the concert event. The All-American Halftime Show was announced in October of 2025 by Turning Point USA, founded by the late Charlie Kirk, in opposition to Super Bowl LX. The organization dropped the news of their event immediately after it was revealed that Grammy Award-winning reggaeton rapper Bad Bunny would be serving as the Super Bowl LX official halftime performer.
“We’re approaching this show like David and Goliath,” Kid Rock said in a statement via a press release. “Competing with the pro football machine and a global pop superstar is almost impossible…or is it? He’s said he’s having a dance party, wearing a dress, and singing in Spanish? Cool. We plan to play great songs for folks who love America.”

The All-American Halftime Show is scheduled to stream at approximately 8 p.m. ET on February 8, 2026. Coverage for the All-American Halftime Show will begin on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) at 7:30 PM EST. Fans can tune in across several digital and television platforms.
