After much-anticipation and teasing throughout social media, Kelsea Ballerini has finally revealed the collaboration coming on her upcoming new album, Subject To Change.
On Thursday (Sept. 8) evening, Ballerini took to social media to reveal the exciting news that fans have been waiting to know and that is if there are any collaborations on her new album. Well, the answer is, yes, there will be one collaboration on the project.
In a clip shared across Ballerini’s social media platforms, the “Heartfirst” singer unveiled that Carly Pearce and Kelly Clarkson will be joining her on a new song called “You’re Drunk Go Home.”
“A sassbomb yeehaw collab moment?!? YOU’RE DRUNK GO HOME with my sister @carlypearce and hero sister @kellyclarkson available 9/23 can I get a yeeeeehaw,” Ballerini captioned the clip.
In the video, Ballerini is seen in front of a photo she shared earlier this year teasing a duet on the project, which she revealed was Pearce as fans guessed after seeing the image in her Instagram stories.
“So, y’all have been asking for months now if there’s a collab on the album, and I’ve hinted that there is, and I did post a little sneaky picture — and you guys are spies,” Ballerini said in the clip, before revealing, “You did guess that it is indeed my girl Carly Pearce.”
She then shocked fans as the clip continued. “But but but, friends, I did fool you because it is not just Carly Pearce, we have a trio,” Ballerini added as she transitioned to a clip with Clarkson.
“Y’all, It’s Kelly Clarkson,” she said.

While no additional details of the tune have been revealed, it’s worth noting that all three of these ladies have recently gone through very public divorces, so, fans could be getting an epic breakup anthem.
“You’re Drunk Go Home” will appear on Ballerini’s fifth studio album, Subject To Change, which she said will have an overall theme of coming to realization that sometimes the little things in life are the most important.
“I think one of themes that I am finding is what I think probably a lot of us have found in the last couple of years as we kind of been forced to step back and look at our lives and have a lot of time to do that,” the hitmaker previously shared. “It’s made you look at what you have differently and for me, I’ve started to really appreciate the little things in life a lot more.”
Arriving on September 23, Subject To Change, will feature 15 tracks, including “What I Have,” “The Little Things,” “Love Is A Cowboy,” as well as the project’s lead single “Heartfirst.”
“In my younger years, the idea of change scared me. It had proven to be a faceless force that patterned my past with uncertainty. Only in the gift of growth have I learned that in the stark and constant juxtaposition of life, living happens,” she previously explained of the project on Instagram. “That when I unclench my fists, undig my heels and unravel the architecture built by youth, a true metamorphosis can happen.”
She continued, “I’ve been searching somewhere between the broadness of the universe and the simplicity in the little things, reflecting through wiser perspectives, leaning with body weight into matters of the heart, and finding blissful acceptance in the inner cracks I once cursed that now let the light in to grow taller within myself. This is a season of becoming, healing, loving, dancing, and feeling. And like everything, it is subject to change.”
Subject To Change marks the country hitmaker’s first full-length project since the release of her companion albums, kelsea and ballerini, in 2020.
Additionally, Ballerini will soon embark on an intimate tour, dubbed the Heartfirst Tour, which includes just 10 shows to celebrate her new album.
The trek, which is set to kick off on September 24 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, will visit several major cities, including Philadelphia, Los Angeles and more.
