Kelsea Ballerini recently debuted her newly reimagined kelsea album, dubbed ballerini, and on the original album she has two collaborations including Kenny Chesney and Halsey.

In a recent interview with ET Canada, she explained why she chose not to include them and to go solo on this version of the album.

“The whole point of ballerini is to make it a solo project cause this year has been very isolating and very kind of self being,” Ballerini explained. “So yeah with both Kenny Chesney and the Halsey collaborations I just wanted those to live on the album where they’re supposed to live and this album I just wanted to strip it down to just me on the whole thing.”

After discussing that choice, ET Canada host asked her if she has any dream collaborations that she would love to do one day.

“The next artist on my bucket list is Carrie [Underwood]” Ballerini revealed. “I think she’s an artist that kind of obviously is like the country queen but she also, I think really transcends genres as well and is such a big part of inspiration to be a woman in country music. So yeah, Carrie’s my next dream collab. Let’s just manifest it, let’s speak it into happening.”

Ballerini recently performed the Ballerini version of “Hole In The Bottle” on the 55th ACM Awards and debuted the music video for the Ballerini version of “Club,” which you can watch HERE.
