Kelsea Ballerini kicked off her highly-anticipated, first-ever arena tour on Tuesday (Jan. 21) at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan, joined by special guests Sasha Alex Sloan and MaRynn Taylor.
The country superstar’s show featured a 24-song set list, including 11 songs from her new album, PATTERNS, such as “Patterns,” “Baggage,” “This Time Last Year,” “First Rodeo,” “We Broke Up,” “Two Things,” “Wait!,” “Cowboys Cry Too,” “Sorry Mom,” “Beg For Your Love” and “I Would, Would You.”
In addition to showcasing her critically-acclaimed fifth studio album, the East Tennessee native also performed songs from other projects such as Rolling Up The Welcome Mat, Subject To Change, Kelsea, Unapologetically and her debut album, The First Time. She even included an unexpected cover of Bill Withers’ iconic hit, “Lean On Me.”
The tour not only boasts an impressive set list, but fans on social media are also raving about the visually stunning show. The epic production included elements like pyro, confetti, CO2, a lift, background singers, videos perfectly synced to each song, and much more.
A Dream Come True Tour For Ballerini
With each night of her tour, Kelsea Ballerini is seeing her dreams come true. Just before the tour officially began, she took a moment to reflect on her journey and how far she’s come. The excitement of the upcoming shows was clearly overwhelming, as she shared her thoughts with fans on social media.
“Tomorrow starts our very first arena tour, and I can’t shy away from the absolute pinch-me, teary-eyed nature I’m feeling going into it. So, so many incredible people have spent these last months pouring their ideas, hours, and magic into this show in hopes we honor the journey that has brought us here, and honors those of you that are so kindly showing up for it,” Ballerini wrote on Instagram. “Here’s to 36 sing-alongs, rooms that feel safe and celebrate being human, and glitter, damn it. I’m giddy, I’m nervous, I have a weird amount of bruises on my legs from forgetting where the stage stairs are, and mostly, I’ve been waiting on this since I was 13 years old.”

In Support Of Her New Album, PATTERNS
The trek comes in support of the 31-year-old singer/songwriter’s latest album, PATTERNS, which arrived last year on October 25 via Black River Entertainment. The project debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Albums chart and No. 4 on Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, earning Ballerini the highest debut of her career.
PATTERNS features the fan-favorite hit “Baggage,” her current single “Cowboys Cry Too” featuring Noah Kahan and buzzed-about tracks “Two Things,” “First Rodeo,” “We Broke Up,” “Sorry Mom” and more. Kelsea Ballerini co-wrote and co-produced all 15 tracks on the album with Alysa Vanderheym, with additional writing contributions from Jessie Jo Dillon, Karen Fairchild, and Hillary Lindsey.
