Kane Brown found himself in a unique predicament that led to him missing the wedding of his longtime friend and “What Ifs” duet partner, Lauren Alaina. The country superstar revealed that he got a vasectomy on the same day as Alaina’s nuptials.

The Reason Kane Brown Missed Lauren Alaina’s Wedding

During a recent interview with Big D & Bubba, shared on Instagram, Brown opened up about the situation and clarified that he feels guilty for missing Alaina and her now husband Cam Arnold’s special day.

“I did not [make it], and I feel like a crappy friend,” Brown admitted.

Kane Brown Reveals He Had A Vasectomy

The soon-to-be father of three was invited to Lauren Alaina and Cam Arnold’s wedding, however, he was at the doctor that day getting snipped.

“What happened was…. any of y’all been clipped?” Brown questioned before unveiling that he got a vasectomy. “That’s the reason I couldn’t goto [Lauren Alaina’s] wedding.”

“I was laying on my back, high as a kite, the nurse and the doctor just standing over me. I’m spread eagle, and they’re just talking about their day,” Brown recalled. The procedure was one of the most “awkward situation” of his life, according to the “I Can Feel It” singer.

Alaina Forgives Kane For Missing Her Wedding

Lauren Alaina saw the interview on Big D & Bubba‘s Instagram and commented, letting Brown know she forgives him for not being able to make it to her wedding.

“I forgive you @kanebrown and still love you 😂 You gotta do what you gotta do,” Alaina commented.

Inside Kane Brown and Lauren Alaina’s Friendship

The longtime friends met in choir class in the seventh grade at the ages of 13 and 12, respectively, at Lakeview Middle School in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. Kane Brown and Lauren Alaina have remained close friends since meeting in school, and even went on to earn a chart-topping hit together with “What Ifs.”

“We genuinely want each other to do well,” Alaina previously explained in a press conference. “The song was the perfect way for us to showcase what we can do. I love Kane, and it was a natural fit.”

The Brown’s Announced They’re Expecting Their Third Child

The news of Kane Brown’s vasectomy comes just under two months after he and his wife, Katelyn Brown, revealed that they are expecting their third child together. The beloved country couple shocked fans with the announcement that they are expecting on Christmas Day.

At the time, The Brown’s announced that they will soon become a family of four. “Last Christmas of 4,” the Browns collectively wrote in a joint social media post, which featured a snapshot of the happy family holding an ultrasound. “Merry Christmas everyone!!!”

It’s A Boy!

The couple revealed the gender of their third child, just over two weeks after shocking fans with the announcement that Katelyn is pregnant, on Christmas Day. On Tuesday, January 9, the “Thank God” singers took to social media to share a joint post that featured a video, where they unveiled the exciting news that they are expecting a baby boy.

To announce the exciting news, Kane and Katelyn filmed a video with the help of their daughter Kingsley Rose and shared it to their Instagram accounts, simply captioned “Gender reveal!!!!” Kane, with his daughter Kodi Jane on his lap, and his wife Katelyn and daughter Kingsley surrounded the cake and cut into it with champagne flutes. As the champagne flute cut into the cake, the color blue was prevalent, revealing that they are having a baby boy.

Upon seeing the shade of blue, Kane and Katelyn Brown were filled with emotion, their faces lighting up with radiant smiles. Kane, beaming, raised his hands as though celebrating a goal, while Katelyn erupted into excited screams. “Baby boy Brown. Coming 2024,” the clip concluded.

Their third child, a son, will join older sisters Kingsley Rose Brown and Kodi Jane Brown. Kingsley was born on October 29, 2019, and Kodi on December 30, 2021.
