Jimmie Allen named 2021 ACM New Male Artist Of The Year!

Allen was surprised by ACM co-host Keith Urban on Thursday, April 8, with the exciting news that he won the 2021 ACM New Male Artist Of The Year award. Upon hearing the news, the “Best Shot” singer was in shock and shouted “stop playin’ bro!” before going back and rewatching the video.

“Do I give my acceptance speech now?” Allen joked. “Like, what do I do?”

Also nominated in the ACM New Male Artist Of the Year category were Travis Denning, Hardy, Cody Johnson and Parker McCollum.

Allen has now been added to the star-studded list of 2021 ACM Awards performers. Over 25 artists are set to perform more than 30 songs, broadcasting live from three iconic venues including the Grand Ole Opry House, Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium and The Bluebird Cafe.

Co-hosted by 15-time ACM Award winner Urban and New Female Artist Of The Year nominee Mickey Guyton, the star-studded event will air on Wednesday, April 18 (live 8:00-11:00 PM ET/delayed PT) on CBS Television Network and will be streamed live and on-demand on Paramount+ and CBS All Access.
