Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany Aldean dialed up Luke Bryan, but there was a catch. The “Trouble With a Heartbreak” singer wore noise-canceling headphones while his wife held up the phone on speaker and tried to relay proper responses to Aldean. He couldn’t hear anything that Bryan was saying, and he was having to rely on her mouthing each response. It caused a lot of confusion on Bryan’s end of the call.

“Call Luke Bryan with noise-canceling headphones on? Absolutely,” she captioned the post.
The call begins with Bryan asking, “What are you calling for?”
“Hey, what’s up man?” Aldean asks after a slight delay.
“What are you doing?” Bryan asks.
“Chillin,’” Aldean replies after another delay.
Bryan call tell something is amiss at this point in the conversation.
“Are you out of the country?” he asks.
“No,” Aldean eventually replies.
“There’s a weird delay or something,” Bryan replies. “It sounds like you’re out of the country.”
That’s when the responses totally derailed.
“We do,” Aldean replies to Brittany’s amusement. “Want to go to Africa?”
“When are you going?” Bryan asks.
“Tomorrow,” Aldean replies.
“Why?” Bryan asks.
“Me either,” Aldean says.

A ton of Brittany’s intended responses begin getting more and more jumbled along the way. Bryan asks where Aldean is at and Brittany tries to lead him to respond with Canada.
“Atlanta,” Aldean replies.
“Why is there such a weird delay?” Bryan asks.
“I don’t know,” Aldean replies.
“Are you drunk?” Bryan asks.
“Yeah,” Aldean replies.
“What are you doing in Atlanta?” Bryan asks.
“[Expletive]” Aldean says to Brittany’s amusement.
“What’s wrong?” Bryan asks.
“I just miss you,” Aldean correctly translates.
“I miss you, too,” Bryan says. “Where are you at?
“Everyday,” Aldean adds. “I love you, dog.”
“I love you, too,” Bryan says, confused. “Where are you at?”
“I gotta go,” Aldean ends the call.

There’s no evidence of how Luke Bryan reacted when he learned what was going on, but he surely gave his permission to Brittany before posting the video. It was clearly a very confusing experience for the “Country On” singer.
Jason Aldean is off the road for a few months, and he’s clearly enjoying his downtime. He’ll return to the stage in February at Coors Light Birds Nest in Scottsdale, Ariz. His next dates are a string of festivals next summer that currently kick off with Country Jam in Grand Junction, Colo. in June. He’ll also hit Nebraskaland Days and Country Thunder in Wisconsin along the way.
Luke Bryan remains busy with his Las Vegas residency at Resorts World Theater into the new year. He’ll also take some friends to the beach in January for his 8th Annual Crash My Playa Festival in Riviera Cancun, Mexico.
