Jason Aldean temporarily stopped his concert to address a “medical emergency” on Monday evening (Jan. 20) during the Liberty Ball, an event celebrating the Inauguration of Donald J. Trump, who was sworn-in as the 47th President of the United States of America just hours before. The country superstar called on security and medics to help someone in the crowd.
Jason Aldean Stopped Liberty Ball Concert To Address “Medical Emergency” In Crowd
The “Try That In A Small Town” singer was in the midst of delivering a memorable performance of “She’s Country,” his final song of his 30-minute set, when he noticed a person in the audience needed help and was “down.” As Aldean made his way to the end of the stage, interacting with fans, he halted his performance to help the person in need of urgent medical attention.
Jason Aldean, donning an all black ensemble complete with a black cowboy hat, pointed the fan out in the crowd and gestured toward security, “Hey, I think they need some help right there.”
“You guys, hey security or whoever, we have somebody down right here, I think,” Aldean said before questioning the Liberty Ball attendee if it was a “medical deal” or not. He then seemingly confirmed that it was a “medical emergency” and asked that someone get a medic.
“We’ve got a medical emergency. There’s something going on right here, guys,” Aldean continued before medics and security personnel made their way into the audience to help the person in need of medical attention. It remains unclear what exactly happened or what medical issue the concertgoer was dealing with.
Once Aldean got the all clear and thumbs up from security, he went back into his high-energy performance of the Wide Open track.
“Thank you guys so much for having us out tonight, we appreciate it! God Bless President Trump, God Bless America, thank you so much!” Aldean said as he concluded his set.
Attendees And Fans Praise Jason Aldean
Fans were quick to praise Aldean on social media following the incident. “Jason Aldean is awesome. In the middle of a killer set, he paused to make sure an audience member was safe. Announced it. Didn’t take his eyes off her until he got the clear,” one attendee wrote, while another added, “Props to Jason Aldean for making sure the audience members were okay at Liberty Ball. Appreciate his Patriotism, his music and his kindness.”
In addition to “She’s Country,” Jason Aldean also performed his controversial hit “Try That In A Small Town,” “Burnin’ It Down,” “Hicktown,” and more. The concert comes in celebration of the Presidential Inauguration of Donald J. Trump, who is a longtime friend of Jason Aldean and his wife, Brittany Aldean.
“Thank you for hanging out, and thanks for listening… Just glad to be here. It’s a huge day for our country, time to get this sh*t back on track. I’m really excited to be here and be a part of it,” Aldean said during the show.

Aldean Admitted That It Was “Such An Honor” To Perform For President Trump
Ahead of his performance, he posted a photo of himself with his entire touring band, all looking sharp in matching all-black outfits. In the caption of the image, Aldean admitted that it’s “such an honor” to perform for President Trump.
“Such an honor to be playing for our president @realdonaldtrump tonight in DC,” he captioned the snapshot. “Excited for where we are headed as a country, the feeling here is electric. We can’t wait to rip it up tonight and have some fun. 🇺🇸”
Aldean Is “Honored” To Be Part Of The Inauguration Festivities
Jason Aldean also stopped by CBS Mornings earlier in the day to discuss how he got to be a part of the Liberty Ball.
“I’ve known President Trump now for a few years, and I had a chance to spend a couple of New Years with him and play golf and different things. Obviously, been a big supporter of his over the past few years,” Aldean explained to the outlet. “So, when he got elected, I just called and said, ‘I don’t know what this looks like, but I would just love to be there in some capacity and help celebrate the day for you.’ And whatever that looks like, whether it’s playing a song or sitting in the crowd watching or whatever it is, I just wanted to be part of it.”
The Georgia native went on to share how “honored” he is to be part of the Inaugural festivities.
“I think that’s one of the things that’s cool to me is I’ve done a lot of things in my career, a lot of things I never thought I would do, but playing for the inauguration for one of our Presidents is something that I’ve never done. It’s a special day for me, I’m honored to be here. This is a different world for me a little bit,” Aldean continued.
