Following the live debut of “Blame It On You” during the Wolf Moon Bourbon livestream, Jason Aldean premiered the music video for his new single.

On Thursday (Jan. 28) evening, the country superstar dropped the Shaun Silva-directed music video that finds Aldean reminiscing on a previous relationship. The music video includes a storyline of clips that paints the perfect visual to fit the lyrics, mixed with performance footage of Aldean.

“I could blame it on the whiskey / I wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t even miss me / Gave you a million reasons, girl, not to be with me / Should’ve never let you go / Should’ve never watched you go,” Aldean sings in the chorus.

“Blame It On You” was co-written by Michael Tyler alongside John Edwards, Brian Gene White. As well as a few of his touring bandmates Kurt Allison and Tully Kennedy.

The new single follows his 24th career No. 1 “Got What I Got,” both of which are featured on his ninth studio album, 9, released in late 2019.
