As Jameson Rodgers looks forward to a busy schedule as a road warrior, he is sharing not one but two new tracks that folks can look forward to hearing while watching him perform on big stages across the country.

Jameson Rodgers Shares Two New Songs

The first of the two offerings is a song called “Goin’ Crazy.” Written with a solid group of tunesmiths – HARDY, Zach Abend, and Josh Thompson – the track finds Rodgers showcasing his tender and romantic side as he sings about a newfound love interest and all the emotions and rush of euphoria that comes along with being “crazy” about a girl.

Hey, y’all it ain’t what you think / Yeah, I’m goin’ out of my mind / But my heart ain’t feelin’ no pain / It’s beatin’ better than it has in a long time / Rock bottom ain’t where I’m at / Someone’s been rockin’ my world / I’m callin’ her baby, I’m goin’ crazy / ‘Cause I’m crazy ‘bout a girl,” Rodgers sings the confessional while backed by the familiar rock-tinged sound of heavy drums and driving guitars that fans have come to associate with the singer-songwriter.

Holding Me Back,” co-penned with Brent Anderson Smith and Smith Ahnquist, meanwhile, delivers a contrasting approach to the first song as it focuses on the complexities of getting through a breakup.

In the song Rodgers details the difficulty of moving on from an all-consuming relationship by expressing the feelings of entrapment that follows a never-ending pattern of one-night stands and get-togethers whenever he crosses paths with an ex.

She’s holding me back in the back of the bar / While an old jukebox plays ‘Dust on the Bottle’ / Holding me back up against her car / Like she won’t be gone when I wake up tomorrow / Never again turns to one more time / Then I’m the last thing on her mind / I’ll never let go when she does me like that / I wanna move on, but she keeps on holding me back,” Rodgers sings throughout the chorus of the track before segueing into the next verse following a hypnotic guitar lick.

Both “Goin’ Crazy” and “Holding Me Back” were produced by Grammy-winning producer and writer David Garcia. This is the first time Rodgers has worked alongside Garcia on his projects.

The two new tracks follow Rodgers’ previously released tunes, “Heartbreak Highway” and “I’m on a Dirt Road,” which arrived in the fall of 2022.

Jameson Rodgers Is Currently On The Road

Additionally, Rodgers is currently on the road as part of HARDY’s headlining the mockingbird & The Crow Tour, which launched on Thursday (Feb. 16) at Old National Centre in Indianapolis, IN. The trek, which also includes tour support from rock band Blame My Youth, features 16 stops in cities like New York, Atlanta, and St. Louis, before wrapping up on Saturday (April 29), at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Texas.

In between slots on HARDY’s trek, Rodgers, who is currently working on the follow-up album to his debut 2021, Bet You’re From a Small Town, will be joined by his wife, singer-songwriter Sarah Allison Turner for THE GOIN’ CRAZY SHOWS.

Those shows include Louisville, KY, Thursday (March 23) Peoria, IL, Friday (March 24) and Chicago, IL, Saturday (March 25).
