Jake Owen is stepping into the new year with a fresh new song called “My Boots Miss Yours.” And it’s bound to make folks eager to hit the dance floor on the first listen!
Produced by Joey Moi and penned by Blake Bollinger, Brad Clawson, and Brett Sheroky, this fun-filled, toe-tapper puts a unique twist on romance as it is sung from the perspective of cowboy boots.
Owen shines on the lyrics with his low baritone vocals while playing the owner of a pair of Lucchese footwear that just so happens to miss “kicking sawdust in the neon light” and being “toe to toe” with another pair of kicks. His boots longing for another night out gives Owen a good reason to call up his significant other to get together again for another magical evening out on the town.

“My boots miss yours / From the heel down to the toe / It’s like they got a hole down in their soles / Never felt like this before / My boots miss yours / What ya say we get ’em back together / Make a little trail of clothes and leather / Let ’em hang out on the bedroom floor / My boots miss yours,” Owen sings the chorus of the free and easy sing-along while backed by a Western-styled, two-step beat.
Owen recently opened up about his latest track in a press release saying, “It’s a new year, so it’s only appropriate that we put out some new music to go with it. I’ve loved this song from the moment I heard it; excited to finally share it with you today.”
Before dropping the track, the Florida native, 41, took to social media multiple times to tease the release.

To celebrate his latest release, Owen has partnered with Lucchese for a special giveaway that includes an engraved pair of boots, which will go out to one lucky fan. Also included in the giveaway are four tickets to any of Owen’s 2023 headlining shows, meet and greet passes, and a Jake Owen-autographed guitar.

The new single is the follow-up to Owen’s prior single, “Up There Down Here,” which dropped in September of 2022. The song also paves the way for a potential 11th No. 1, as Owen celebrated his 10th chart topper with “Best Things Since Backroads,” released in 2021.
“My Boots Miss Yours” is the first taste of what fans can expect from Owen in 2023 as he promises more music to come.
Additionally, Jake Owen reluctantly joined TikTok just a few days before releasing his new single.
