Ian Munsick recently released his fourth studio album, The Mountain Goat, and to celebrate the project, he gave fans an early gift, partnering with Schaefer Outfitter on a capsule collaboration collection that is available now.

After spending more than a decade showcasing his authenticity and Western style through his unique brand of country music, Munsick has officially brought that signature style to fans, who can now wear the bolo ties, brightly colored Western shirts, and other pieces that have become part of his signature look.

The Ian Munsick X Schaefer Outfitter collection launched on Aug. 18, 2026, and was a hands-on project for both the singer/songwriter and his wife, Caroline Munsick, who provided design inspiration, artwork direction, fabric details, and more.

Inspired by some of the songs from his new album, the line, designed collaboratively between the Munsicks and the Schaefer team, includes several Western shirts, including 90s-inspired button-downs, denim button-downs, Western stretch snap shirts, and a short-sleeve vintage cotton pearl snap. The collection also features a Bighorn full-zip fleece, Golden Eagle denim jacket, Crow denim vest, Wyoming tee, and God Bless the West and Wyoming snapback and trucker hats.

For Munsick, finding the right company to partner with him was the most important piece of the puzzle, especially when it came to creating clothing that reflected his personal style while still focusing on quality.

“People have asked me for years and years, where do I get my clothes and my shirts? We’ve had a few opportunities to partner with companies to make our own line, but they have never been the right fit. But Schaefer, first and foremost, they prioritize quality,” Munsick told Music Mayhem in an interview. “My wife is obsessed with quality. It has to stand the test of time. And I think that that is a thread that also goes with my music and goes with cowboy culture and the culture of the West in general. It will stand the test of time.”

“They’re a smaller company, which means they pride who they are in their product. And that’s exactly what this clothing line is…,” he adds. “You obviously have the Ian style in there, which I’m very pumped about because we had a great time with all of these. [But] it’s pretty, pretty special.”

Schaefer Outfitter, founded in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, spent four decades providing Western wear to working cowboys and ranchers, which makes the partnership with Munsick seamless, especially since he was born and raised in Wyoming and has incorporated the state’s Western culture into his music and personal style.

“Located in the heart of Texas but originating in Wyoming, Schaefer puts quality and functionality over everything,” Munsick shared in a press release. “With roots dating back to the 1980s, their product continues to stand the test of time. Caroline and I knew that with their mission and material, and our branding flair and vision, the ideal western shirt line would be born. And finally, that line will be all yours.”

The collaboration is also the first full capsule collaboration for Schaefer Outfitter.

“Given our shared Wyoming roots, Ian’s authentic style, and his commitment to quality and excellence for his fans and customers, it had to be Ian Munsick as our first full capsule collaboration ever,” remarks Jason Smith, President & CEO of Schaefer Outfitter via a press release. “Ian is electric, and his personality and creativity are interwoven throughout this entire collection from Schaefer Outfitter.”

As previously mentioned, the collection arrived ahead of Munsick’s release of The Mountain Goat, which marks his first full-length project released via WEST TO THE REST RECORDS / Triple Tigers Records

In promotion of the album’s release, Munsick has been on the road playing shows for his Road to the Mountain Goat Western tour, and Schaefer Outfitter joined him for several select stops, including Park City, Utah; Laramie, Wyoming; and Deadwood, South Dakota. At each location, fans had the unique opportunity to see and try pieces from the collection. But the album, tour, and clothing collection aren’t the only projects Munsick has been working on.

He is also expanding his business ventures with the upcoming Ian Munsick Cowboy Bar & Western Grill, set to open in Deadwood, South Dakota. The venue will occupy more than 2,600 square feet and will celebrate country and Western music with old-school country bar décor, along with two performance stages — one indoors and one outdoors.

Munsick said the idea behind the bar was to create a place where fans and musicians could experience the Western culture that has influenced his career.

“Ian Munsick’s Cowboy Bar in Deadwood. Man, it is the heart of the West right in the Black Hills,” Munsick said. “Just a beautiful historic location for all things Western. And we always wanted to create a location where you can hear my music, and you can close your eyes, and you’re kind of there. This is the closest thing that we could get to that location. So being able to open up a real cowboy bar, which the world needs a lot more cowboy bars. There’s a lot of great places to drink beer and have a good time, but a cowboy bar is special.”

He continued, “For us to bring a cowboy bar to a historic cowboy town is going to be really, really cool…. I’m going to be playing a lot of tunes there … .there’s going to be lots of live music there, which is another thing that we wanted to bring to that part of the country just because everything is very spread out out there. So being able to have another spot for local artists and national artists to come and play music is a win-win for everybody.”

Munsick and The Landmark Hotel & Casino in Deadwood have set the grand opening of Ian Munsick’s Cowboy Bar & Western Grill for the weekend of Sept. 18-20. The opening will coincide with Munsick’s performance at Outlaw Square for Deadwood Jam on Sept. 18, where he will perform with special guest Ashland Craft.
