Over the last year or so, TikTok has been a huge game-changer for talented artists and social media influencers. The popular social media platform has given rise to many unknowns, launching countless careers for people all over. Along with that, some of the biggest celebrities have gone and created TikTok profiles of their own to connect with fans and TikTok users on a greater scale.

Take, for example, country music legend Randy Travis.

Travis began posting on TikTok back in August of 2020 to promote the first single of his career, “Fools Love Affair,” following his debilitating stroke in July 2013. And, it turns out he’s still keeping up with the social media trend!

Most recently, he’s been showing his support for aspiring musicians and artists, including rising country singer/songwriter Alexandra Kay. Kay’s voice first caught the attention of Travis on March 31, after she shared an impressive coffee cover video of herself singing the country icon’s 1988 hit “Deeper Than The Holler.” Kay, who once went viral with a cover of “Jolene” by Dolly Parton, sang the song a cappella and kept viewers – and Travis – engaged by showing off her countryfied vocals over a cup of iced coffee!

Travis was so moved by Kay’s rendition of his timeless hit that he ended up duetting with her in a re-posted clip and invited her to his house to create an in-person coffee cover, using Travis’ hit single “Forever And Ever, Amen.”

The country icon later invited Kay to join him for a stroll through the Country Music Hall of Fame, which you can watch below.

The brand-new clip, posted on Travis’ TikTok page on Monday (June 21), shows the two of them walking into the building and heading toward the plaques on the walls.

“I love these hallowed halls filled with my heroes and friends,” Travis captions the clip.

Kay, who has earned a wider audience with Travis’ help, also shared a similar video on her page. The clip shows her standing beside her hero while singing his classic hit, “Three Wooden Crosses.” The video also features words of gratitude from Kay to Travis.

“Randy Travis has been inspiring me since I was a little girl,” Kay begins. “Singing ‘Three Wooden Crosses’ to him in the center of the rotunda at the Country Music Hall of Fame is a moment I’ll cherish forever. Thank you, Randy, for believing in me and for all the songs that made me want to sing and write country music.”

Along with showing his incredible support for his fellow artists, Travis has been using the popular platform to get in on TikTok challenges, as well as showcasing his voice at the end of songs in duet-style side-by-side videos with other TikTok users! He has also reflected on his illustrious career, which saw him taking the No. 1 spot 16 times. Followers have gotten to relive his glory days in music videos for songs like “If I Didn’t Have You” and “It’s Just a Matter of Time.” They’ve also been able to take a peek at his impressive trophy case filled with Grammy, CMA and ACM wins.

Travis has also been making pit-stops to some of his favorite iconic buildings in Nashville, such as the historic Ryman Auditorium and Grand Ole Opry. There, he’s visited with some of his buddies like Chris Young, Restless Road, Luke Combs, Drew Parker, Josh Turner, and more. And, of course, he didn’t leave his family out. The 62-year-old Country music traditionalist also shows fans a bit of his home-life with his wife, Mary.
