HARDY is a busy man — and a busy father, for that matter. On top of releasing his COUNTRY! EP and launching his JIM BOB WORLD TOUR, this year, the country rocker became a dad to a little girl. The 34-year-old Mississippi native, along with his wife, Caleigh Ryan HARDY, welcomed their first child — a daughter named Rosie Ryan Hardy into the world in early March.
Navigating Parenthood As A First-Time Parent
Now that he has been able to navigate a few of the challenges that come with being a first-time parent, from changing dirty diapers to rocking his wee one to sleep, HARDY can confidently say he knows a thing or two about parenthood. And his advice is bound to help out his good friend Lauren Alaina, who is currently expecting a child of her own.
“Like any day. Any day. It’s like any time!” HARDY said, in a recent interview with Music Mayhem, implying that Alaina could be due at any moment since she announced her pregnancy back in January, teasing the news in her video for her music video for “Those Kinds Of Women” before confirming she is going to be a mama in a next-day interview with PEOPLE.
HARDY and Alaina go way back as both pals and collaborators, having duetted on the 2020 hit, “One Beer,” which also features fellow country singer Devin Dawson and is included on HARDY’s Hitxtape Vol. 1 collaborative album and studio project, A Rock. The 34-year-old “Buck On The Wall” singer also shares that Alaina is close pals with Caleigh, adding “We’ve already shared a lot of in-person advice.”
Offers Advices To Lauren Alaina And Husband Cam Arnold
Instead, he directs his attention to Alaina’s husband, Cam Arnold, when offering his parenting advice. He says, “My biggest thing… I mean advice. I mean, mothers just do it so well. It’s almost like I’d rather give Cam [Arnold], her husband, the real advice. But I think the biggest advice….or almost hopeful advice, whatever kind of thing is, you will never, ever not appreciate 20 minutes of shuteye or sleep ever again.”
“Just a little bit of sleep you can get is like gold now as opposed to like, oh, only I only got 45 minutes of sleep during a nap or whatever,” he continued. “Just that in general. I don’t know if that’s advice, but just that’s a good mantra. Just sleep is just different now. So enjoy every bit of it.”

While sleep is certainly important, HARDY and Caleigh have been enjoying their new roles as mom and pop, as shown on their respective social media pages. Since bringing their bundle of joy home following a carousel of photos shared on Instagram, which revealed “Rosie Ryan Hardy [was] born March 7, 2025 [weighing] 9 pounds 2 ounces” in the caption, the pair have posted additional pictures featuring them doting on their daughter.
As for Alaina, she is just bursting with joy, waiting for the moment she gets to hold her child — a daughter — in her arms for the first time.
“[I didn’t know] I can love something I haven’t even really held yet. I feel the baby inside me, and it’s kicking me and doing all of the things. It’s like I was the Grinch or something and my heart grew,” Alaina, who lost her father in 2024, said in the early interview with PEOPLE, also sharing, “I do think that my dad passed away and got a stair up in heaven and was like, ‘Hey, we got to work something out down there to send the family something good.’ And it has been such an unexpected blessing.”
Lauren Alaina Is Expecting Her First Child Any Day
On May 19, Alaina, who has been happily nesting all month in preparation for her newborn, shared on Instagram, a series of beautiful maternity photos featuring her baby bump and revealing she was 10 days away from meeting her baby girl.
“I have never felt more beautiful or proud of my body than I have carried my little girl around for the last 9 months,” she captioned the post. “I can’t believe my due date is ten days away [and] I will miss these days, but I can’t wait for the days that are to come. Thank you, @brasspennyphotography, for the maternity shoot of my dreams. Ps: this will not be the last you see of this shoot. 💗🥹.”
Alaina also shared comical maternity photos alongside her husband. “I let my husband come up with an idea for maternity photos. 10/10 recommend hitting up the mall. Worth every PENNEY. We literally had so much fun.🤰”
