Following the success of their April 1 concert special, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood have announced a one-hour Christmas special on CBS.

The superstar couple are set to perform classic holiday music by request from their home studio, Studio G, the show is dubbed Garth & Trish Live! A Holiday Concert Event. The CBS special is slated to air on Sunday, December 20. The superstar is expected to unveil how to request songs for the holiday special in the coming weeks via Facebook Live on Inside Studio G.

“Our viewers loved reaching out directly to Garth and Trisha to request their favorite hits back when the pandemic first hit. It brought some fun and joy directly into their living rooms as they were hunkered down with their families,” said Jack Sussman, Executive Vice President, Specials, Music & Live Events/Alternative & Reality for CBS. “Now, nine long months later, who better to bring some holiday magic, performing some of the greatest holiday songs of all time then Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood.”

The show will be filmed without a live studio audience. The filming will take extensive safety precautions and be filmed with minimal crew to follow the social distancing guidelines put into effect.

The Horse of Troy-Produced Garth & Trisha Live! A Holiday Concert Event will air on Sunday, Dec. 20 at 8:30-9:30 PM EST, on the CBS Television Network and also be available to stream on CBS All Access.
