Gabby Barrett Shines With Debut ACM Awards Performance Of ‘I Hope’ Acoustic

Gabby Barrett gave her record-breaking single “I Hope” new life with a stripped down rendition of the track during her debut ACM Awards performance on Wednesday (Sept. 16), live from Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium.

“This is my second time performing at The Ryman but it’s even more exciting for me this time because I am coming as a solo artist with my own song, my debut single that went No. 1 ‘I Hope,'” Barrett gushed. “Fans should check out the ACM Awards because I’ve been watching it since I was very young and I’m here to say it’s amazing. It’s absolutely wonderful, I mean it’s just a dream come true to perform on such an amazing award show, it’s just an honor and I think it’s just always really fun and always filled with fun performances and it’s a special award show for sure.”

The New Female Artist Of The Year nominee was donned in a shimmering silver cloak and black tights sitting beside her husband, Cade Foehner, who played acoustic guitar as she showcased her powerhouse vocals during the laid back performance.

The 2x Platinum hit is featured on Barrett’s debut studio album, Goldmine, and was co-written by Barrett alongside Zach Kale and Jon Nite.

The first-time ACM nominee also delivered a very special performance of her latest single “The Good Ones” for Xfinity ahead of the 2020 ACM Awards, which you can watch HERE.

The 55th Academy of Country Music Awards also featured performances from Jimmie Allen, Luke Combs, Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Dan + Shay, Florida Georgia Line, Riley Green, Mickey Guyton, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Maren Morris, Old Dominion, Thomas Rhett featuring Jon Pardi, Blake Shelton with Gwen Stefani, Taylor Swift, Tenille Townes, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban with P!nk, Morgan Wallen and Trisha Yearwood.
