Gabby Barrett penned a touching letter to her nearly 4-month-old daughter Baylah May.

On Sunday, May 9, the country superstar shared a photo of her baby girl to Instagram with “a letter to my sweet little girl,” as she celebrates her first Mother’s Day.

“Oh Baylah May, how you have flipped my world completely upside down in such a small amount of time,” Barrett said. “You’re almost 4 months old now. Little did I know, I could fall in love with another human as fast as I did you. Time is flying and it’s hard to describe how amazing it is to see you grow and come into your own.”

“I remember finding out I was pregnant, and wanting to fast forward already so that you’d be here,” Barrett continued. “To see whose features you have, to hear your voice, your giggle. What your name would be, what your personality would be like. All the wonderful attributes you would have. What a privilege it was to be able to grow you in my tummy. I miss feeling you move around, but you being earth side has been a new kind of joy.”

The “I Hope” singer later added, “he concept “dying to thy self” in the Christian life has become so evident since becoming a mother. And I couldn’t be more grateful to Our Lord and your daddy for giving me you. Happy Mother’s Day to ALL mothers. Sending my love to you especially today. ?”

The American Idol alums Barrett and Cade Foehner announced Baylah May’s birth on social media one week after she arrived.

“Gotten to spend a very sweet week with our newest addition.. meet our girl?,” Barrett wrote at the time.

Barrett and Foehner met on the set of American Idol in 2018. Their relationship continued to flourish after the show, and Foehner eventually popped the question in March of 2019. The pair tied the knot six months later.

Less than one year after that, Barrett and Foehner announced that they were expecting their first child and it sounds like Baylah May won’t be their last.

“We’re ready to add on to our family and get some babies in there,” the “I Hope” singer recently shared. “I definitely want to have more than one in the future, for sure.”
