Emily Ann Roberts was nominated for her first-ever ACM Award at this year’s 61st ACM Awards in the New Female Artist of The Year category alongside Avery Anna, MacKenzie Carpenter, Dasha, and Caroline Jones. Ultimately, Avery Anna was named the winner of the award. Despite not winning the award, Roberts admitted that the nomination alone means the world to her and her husband.

“I love to put on a happy face all the time on stage and on social media, but Chris really sees me when I’m at rock bottom. He sees me on the good days. He sees me on the hard days and he loves me through all of it,” she recently told Country Now. “So when I found out that I was nominated for the ACM and we got to experience that win together, that’s just as much a win for him as it is for me because we are a team in this and there is nothing that I don’t walk through in this career that he’s not with me every step of the way on. So I want to experience all my wins with him. He’s just my best friend.”

Emily Ann Roberts and Chris Sasser are a down-to-earth couple who document their everyday life, rural adventures, and home renovation projects through their social media platform, Sasser House. Roberts previously shared that it took a few months of playful persistence before Chris finally came around to the idea that they were meant to be together. That connection eventually turned into a relationship in June 2015, and after years of building their life together, the couple tied the knot in November 2020.
