Ella Langley is gearing up for a standout performance at the 2025 CMA Awards on Wednesday, November 19 at 8/7c on ABC, where she will bring her current single “Choosin’ Texas” to life.
Ahead of the prestigious ceremony, the fast-rising country star shared a few details of what viewers can expect from her highly-anticipated performance and co-writing “Choosin’ Texas” alongside her musical hero Miranda Lambert.
Langley will deliver a memorable performance of “Choosin’ Texas,” her current single that was co-written by Langley, Lambert, Luke Dick and Joybeth Taylor. During an interview with Taste of Country, Langley revealed that her performance will be very country and will even include some dancing.
“There’s going to be some dancing,” she hinted, before adding that her performance will be similar to the track’s lyric video. “You’re going to feel the longing the song describes, missing that person, whether it’s where they’re living or who they want to be with. It’s just a good ol’ country song with some two-steppin’ in it,” Langley added with a beaming smile on her face.

Despite performing in front of sold-out crowds across the globe, Ella Langley admitted that it is “still a little nerve wracking” taking to the awards show stage in front of her peers and on live television. “I’ve got a year and a half of headlining shows under my belt, and I definitely feel a little more confident in the artist that I am and my craft and what we’ve been working so hard on. And we’ve just been out there singing to these fans for so long that getting to be up here on the CMA stage is a step-up, and it’s still a little nerve wracking, but it’s so exciting.”
Of writing the song with Lambert, Langley gushed, “I’ve looked up to Miranda Lambert for as long as I’ve known who she was, and she’s somebody who I just would have loved to write a song with. So getting the chances to write ‘Choosin’ Texas’ with her and a couple other songs off this record has, I mean, it was just one of the coolest things. I mean, who gets to do something they dreamed about as a little kid? And I was like, that little kid got to come out and experience that day.”
Langley is nominated for six awards, including Single Of The Year (“you look like you love me”), Song Of The Year (“you look like you love me”), Female Vocalist Of The Year, Musical Event Of The Year (“Don’t Mind If I Do”), Music Video Of The Year (“you look like you love me”), and New Artist Of The Year.
She also opened up about her six nods during an interview with ABC, sharing, “It’s crazy… just grateful is the only word I can give out. Wow. It was just really cool to see that three women were most-nominated. That was probably the most exciting part for me. It’s just so cool because we’re all three so different, but we all love country music and just holding down the fort up there for other women to come through. And let me tell ya there’s a lot of good ones coming through, so this ain’t gonna be the last time three women are most nominated.”
Ella Langley also commented on the fact that three females are the most-nominated artists at the 2025 CMA Awards. “I feel blessed to be a part of that,” she added.

The 59th Annual CMA Awards will also feature performances by Kelsea Ballerini, Brandi Carlile, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Patty Loveless, Old Dominion, The Red Clay Strays, Chris Stapleton, BigXThaPlug, Luke Combs, Riley Green, Keith Urban, Little Big Town, Megan Moroney, Shaboozey, Zach Top, Tucker Wetmore, Lainey Wilson and Stephen Wilson Jr. and more.
This year’s CMA Awards will feature a wide range of presenters and special guests, including Lady A, Jessica Capshaw, Billy Ray Cyrus, Lauren Daigle, Jordan Davis, Elizabeth Hurley, Cody Johnson, Bert Kreischer, Brandon Lake, Ella Langley, Steve Martin, Leanne Morgan, NE-YO, Chris O’Donnell, Kimberly Perry of The Band Perry, LeAnn Rimes, Alan Ritchson, Lara Spencer, Billy Bob Thornton, Grace Van Patten, Gretchen Wilson, and Bailey Zimmerman.
