Dylan Scott brought his Easy Does It Tour, featuring support from George Birge and Zach John King, to The Pinnacle in Nashville on Friday evening (Sept. 26) for an evening of country hits.
The country star, whose real name is Dylan Scott Robinson, exploded onto the stage to his “Good Times Go By Too Fast” and greeted the crowd with his infectious energy. “What’s up Nashville, did we come to party, Tennessee?” Scott shouted, as he strutted across the stage with undeniable swagger.
“How we feeling Nashville? It’s good to be here. Thank you guys for packing this place out on a Friday night, man. We got one goal tonight, let’s have a dang good Friday night. The louder y’all are tonight, the longer we’re going to play. I’ve been in this town 15 years, and what I’m seeing here tonight has validated everything,” he exclaimed.
Wearing an 1890 Sporting Club flat bill cap, cowboy boots, jeans and a The Bridge Fellowship t-shirt, Dylan Scott exuded confidence and allowed his vocal prowess to shine while delivering an unforgettable, high-energy concert that kept the near capacity crowd in the palm of his hand throughout his entire 15-song set. His set included over a dozen songs, including “Boys Back Home,” “New Truck,” “Hooked,” “Country Till I Die,” “Livin’ My Best Life” and more as well as his cover of “Country Boy Can Survive” by Hank Williams Jr.

During the show, he took a moment to slow things down and reflect on his career with gratitude and strip it back for a piano-driven portion of the show that featured performances of “I Owe You One” and “Nobody.”
“There are more people here tonight who have never seen us than has seen us. You know what that tells me? I’ve been doing this a long time… But what it tells me is, hey, you know what, here we are 15 years later and there’s still that many people seeing us for the first time. Shoot. Maybe we ain’t done yet. Maybe we’re just getting started,” Scott said to a thunderous ovation. “Thank you to the guys who have seen this and girls who’ve seen this before. To you guys seeing us for the first time. What the heck took y’all so long?”
He went on to share his humble beginnings, growing up with a dad who worked as a welder and a mom employed at a local church, before moving to Nashville to chase his dreams and eventually becoming a husband and father himself. “I’m from a little small town in Louisiana where stuff supposed to happen like this to a boy like me, but here we are… I graduated [from] high school, I didn’t go to college [and] I moved straight to this town, right here, chasing this crazy dream right here. And I used to live just a few streets over, man that’s where I lived when I came here. This was the dream, right? You never know what’s going to happen,” Scott told the crowd. “I can tell you what, though. You work hard and trust God and get a good woman, your life’s going to happen.”
Scott added, “I don’t ever want anybody to come to my show and be like, that boy thinks he’s something. I promise you, I don’t. I grew up and I still live my life just like every single person here. You just know when you’re in that crowd tonight, the only thing that I care about is not if you like all my songs or half my songs or one song, I don’t care if you like zero songs.”
Dylan Scott continued to reflect on what the moment meant to him and took time to thank the crowd in a heartfelt speech.
“I’m grateful for each and every person that decided to come out here and spend their hard-earned money on a Friday night and let us play some music,” the singer/songwriter graciously said. “That’s what I’m grateful for, because at the end of the day, without every single person here, and don’t get me wrong, I’d go work anywhere. I’d work at Tractor Supply, Walmart, wherever, you name it, I’d do it. But you guys help me put food on the table for my kids and my wife, and I appreciate that from the bottom of my heart, I really do. I owe a lot of people. I owe a lot of people in this room here tonight, more than anything in this world, but I owe Jesus Christ the most.”

A proud family man and father of three, Dylan Scott left his heart on the stage, not just through his music, but through the people who inspire it. His wife of nearly 10 years, Blair Robinson, watched from the side stage as Scott paid tribute to her throughout the night, both in his words and through performances of songs such as “My Girl,” “Nobody,” “What He’ll Never Have,” “Can’t Have Mine (Find You a Girl)” and “Till I Can’t, I Will.”
He also honored his three children, sons Beckett Scott (7) and Barron (2) as well as daughter Finley Gray (6), with a heartwarming performance of “Good Times Go By Too Fast.” Another proud dad moment when was his youngest son, Barron, who was celebrating his second birthday that evening, wandered out onto the stage to join him during “Bartender.”

As the stadium-sized show came to a close, the 34-year-old Louisiana native delivered an epic ’90s country mashup that included covers of “Fishin’ In The Dark” by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, “I Like It, I Love It” by Tim McGraw, “Check Yes or No” by George Strait and “When You Say Nothing At All” by Keith Whitley, with Scott declaring the latter as the “best voice in country music” and one of greatest artists of all time.
Throughout the show, Dylan Scott also made sure to engage with the fans and banter with them.
He concluded his set with a captivating performance of “My Girl,” where he prompted a massive sing-along with the crowd. “God bless every single one of you guys, thank you so much for being here. Whether it’s your first time, second, third or fourth time, we hope you’ll keep coming back,” Scott said before making his way to the barricade to sign autographs and grab selfies with fans.

Dylan Scott doesn’t always get the attention he deserves and remains one of the most underrated singers and performers in country music, but his Easy Does It Tour made a strong case that he’s ready for bigger stages and more recognition. The concert was packed with radio-ready anthems, powerful vocals worthy of a Male Vocalist Of The Year nod, and a performance that cemented him as a future Entertainer of The Year.
