Dolly Parton shared a hopeful new song entitled “I Still Believe,” which is a just-released bonus track from her holiday album, A Holly Dolly Christmas.

“I Still Believe” finds Parton finding the light at the end of the darkness as she looks forward to better times in the near future, after a year of craziness that included the novel pandemic, the election and more.

“I believe to my very core / We’ll walk again in the sunshine by the seashore / That we’ll dance and we’ll sing and be happy again / Don’t know how or when / but we will again, you’ll see I still believe (I believe, I believe)” Parton sings. “I believe there’s a day and it’s comin’ soon, When we’ll unmask this face of doom, Walk hand in hand in perfect harmony”

The song was co-written by Parton alongside Kent Wells, and is available as a bonus track on the digital format of her holiday project.

A Holly Dolly Christmas features classic holiday tunes including “Mary, Did You Know,” “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus,” “Holly Jolly Christmas” and more, as well as several originals penned by the country icon. The star-studded album includes duets with Michael Buble, Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley Cyrus, Jimmy Fallon, Willie Nelson and her brother Randy Parton.

Parton performed the new song for the first-time ever during her A Holly Dolly Christmas CBS special on Sunday (Dec. 6), which you can watch above.
