Launching the honor of the Musicares Person Of The Year, Dolly Parton was Kacey Musgraves and Katy Perry before Parton joined them to finish out the performance of “Here You Come Again.” The three of the talented music icons put on an impeccable performance that was a force to be reckoned with.

Miley Cyrus then took to the stage with Parton to sing a fierce performance of “Jolene” in which Cyrus’ vocals were really showcased as she belted out the chorus, but allowing Parton to finish out the song and duet with her at times throughout the performance as well, wow their vocals blended so perfectly. Cyrus staying present on the stage for a mind blowing performance of Neil Young’s “After the Gold Rush,” with another special guest, Maren Morris.

Little Big Town performing a new song “Red Shoes” with Parton for some great harmonies throughout the Parton penned song and wow does Parton still have the pipes she is known to have and that shined vibrantly throughout the entire group of duets with all of the guests including Katy Perry, Kacey Musgraves, Maren Morris, Miley Cyrus and Little Big Town. “9 to 5” brought out all of the special guests to performance the song together and wow who would have known that this is the collaboration effort we would have needed with all of those powerful vocals during one song. “9 to 5” had the entire crowd off their feet singing along and ending with a massive standing ovation. The “9 to 5” performance was more like a sing-a-long though!
