Cody Johnson delivered an electrifying set on Friday evening (Feb. 15) for the second of two sold-out shows at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, as part of his headlining Leather Deluxe Tour. He performed for over 30,000 fans across the two shows, following his historic show at the venue in 2024, when he broke the attendance record for the most tickets sold by a male country artist in their Bridgestone debut.

Electrifying Concert: 21 Songs, Over 2 Hours

The 37-year-old country sensation brought a taste of Texas to Tennessee, delivering a night of authentic country music to the sold-out crowd. As the lights went down and Johnson’s logo appeared on a massive screen, country songs that mention “cowboy” were played, including Toby Keith’s “Should’ve Been A Cowboy,” Glen Campbell’s “Rhinestone Cowboy,” Bon Jovi’s “Wanted Dead Or Alive” and more.

The country superstar was introduced to the stage at 9:30 PM in a manner reminiscent of a rodeo cowboy via an announcer. Immediately after the introduction, Johnson and The Rockin’ CJB Band exploded onto the stage and was welcomed by a roaring, sold-out crowd of country music fans who were thrilled to see him. Donning his signature Resistol cowboy hat, a button-up shirt, and a pair of Wrangler jeans complete with a belt buckle, the hitmaker was all smiles as he made his way around the in-the-round stage greeting the fans.

Not a single seat in the arena, which was open all the way around, was empty when he took to the stage for an unforgettable performance that lasted over two hours and featured over 20 songs that spanned his impressive career. Johnson’s set featured fan favorite tracks from across his entire catalog, including songs like “Me And My Kind,” “That’s Texas,” “With You I Am,” “People In The Back,” “Diamond In My Pocket,” “Dance Her Home,” as well as his chart-topping hits “Dirt Cheap,” “‘Til You Can’t” and “The Painter.”

Packed With Memorable Moments

There wasn’t just one highlight of the show; the entire concert was packed with memorable moments — from surprise guests, massive sing-a-longs, emotional performances and hit after hit song.

One of those moments, included when Cody Johnson delivered a heartfelt speech and performance of “God Bless America,” honoring First Responders and the United States Military with a moving tribute.

An emotional highlight of the evening came when Johnson performed his first-ever chart-topping hit, ‘‘Til You Can’t,’ moved to tears as he realized how much the song has changed his life, with the entire audience singing the opening verse in sync with him.

He paused for a moment to take in the “I made it moment” when the crowd sang every single word to the song. “I literally said it takes a lot to get me to cry, and y’all did it tonight. I would be honored tonight if you would sing at the top of your lungs my very first No. 1 on the Country Billboard charts,” Johnson said as he wiped tears from his face. Johnson then took fans to church with a passionate performance of the track.

Surprise Guests: Ian Munsick, Carrie Underwood, Luke Combs

In typical Nashville fashion, the show was star-studded and included several surprise guests, including Ian Munsick, Carrie Underwood and Luke Combs.

Munsick joined Johnson for an energetic performance of their collaboration, “Long Live Cowgirls,” while Underwood graced the stage to perform “I’m Gonna Love You,” which was welcomed by deafening screams of excitement. The night wrapped up with Johnson’s unexpected performance of Luke Combs’ “Beer Never Broke My Heart” alongside Combs.

One Of The Greatest Entertainers In All of Country Music

Cody Johnson further solidified his status as a future country music icon and his place as an arena headliner, captivating the capacity crowd all night with minimal production, powerful vocals, and a commanding stage presence that is unmatched.

The Texas native is the epitome of a live performer — his ability to command the stage, connect with the audience, and create an unforgettable experience is what sets him apart from others and makes him one of the greatest entertainers in Country music, deserving of recognition as Entertainer of the Year.
