American Idol alum Clark Beckham unifies fans with the premiere of his new single “Bedrock” on Thursday (Oct. 22).
Beckham’s new song brings a timely message of unity during a time when the world needs it most.
“I wanted to have a song on this album about loving people. We often hear that sentiment, but it seems we see more and more division and hostility every time we open Facebook or turn on the TV,” Beckham explains of the song. “I wrote this song with a beloved friend of mine who happens to have different beliefs than I do religiously and politically, however we find solid, common ground with “Bedrock”. The soul of this song is about loving people, like Jesus did, regardless of what they believe or who they vote for. That’s what this song is about: true, unconditional, god-like love for His people. All of them.”

The song was co-written by Beckham alongside Eli Teplin and follows the release of his latest single, “Who Believes In Me.” The song was produced by Brian Brundage and Teplin.
“Bedrock” is from Beckham’s forthcoming debut album, Light Year, which is slated for release on November 6.
The 28-year-old was a runner up on Season 14 of American Idol and his live debut EP, Year One, debuted at No. 6 on the iTunes Alternative chart and No. 22 on Billboard’s R&B sales chart. With the success of his debut EP, his upcoming debut album, Light Year, is destined to top the charts and be a huge success.
