Just weeks after the release of My Gift (Special Edition), it appears Carrie Underwood was also slated to release a comedic holiday song, “Stretchy Pants.”

Fans were quick to preorder and pre-save the tune on streaming platforms, however, it appears upon its release on Friday (Nov. 5), the song was abruptly removed from the all streaming services. The song does however still appear on Spotify, but it is unable to be played as of the time of publishing this article.

Dozens of fans in a Carrie Underwood fan forum (Carriefans.com) are sharing their upset.

“They removed it everywhere 😞 I can’t find the one on YouTube I saw earlier, nor in Spotify. I can’t even play the one I bought. 😥 My phone didn’t seem to store it locally,” one fan wrote, while another confused fan shared, “looks like they had a change of heart. It’s no longer on iTunes anywhere.”

Another fan added, “Can’t find it anywhere. Has anyone else?”

According to various lyric websites, the song was seemingly joked about overindulging while gathering with your family during the holidays.

“Time to celebrate the season, haven’t eaten all day / My tummy is growling ’cause I’ve been saving up space / I’ve got my place at the table, can’t fit no more on my plate / I’ve got my fork in my hand ready to stuff my face,” Underwood sang in the track’s opening verse.

As the song continued to the chorus, the Oklahoma native sang, “I got my stretchy pants on (Stretchy pants) / I got my stretchy pants on (Stretchy, strеtchy) / Spandex and Lycra, you better work it for mе / ‘Cause I’m about to expand this band of elasticity / I got my stretchy pants on (Stretchy pants) / I got my stretchy pants on (Stretchy, stretchy).”

The song was listed as a track confirmed to be released on Friday (Nov. 5), per Official Charts. The hilarious holiday tune appears on Vocaroo.com, which can be listened to below.

Additionally, the seven-time GRAMMY-Award winner and 2021 CMA Entertainer of the Year nominee shared the special edition of her chart-topping holiday album, My Gift, in late September.

Produced and arranged by Greg Wells, My Gift is a combination of beloved traditional songs celebrating the spiritual nature of Christmas and several originals, including her collaboration with John Legend, “Hallelujah.”

The special edition of My Gift features three additional tracks: “Favorite Time Of Year” and “All Is Well,” both produced by Greg Wells, and “Let There Be Peace/Something In The Water (LIVE From HBO Max’s MY GIFT: A Christmas Special From Carrie Underwood).”

My Gift (Special Edition) is now available on Crystal Clear Double Vinyl here.  A limited-edition White Vinyl version of the album will be sold at Walmart stores and Walmart.com and an exclusive limited-edition Green Vinyl edition with a collectible poster is available at Target stores and at Target.com.
