Morgan Myles dazzled with a soulful performance of a massive country hit during Monday evening’s (Nov. 28) episode of NBC’s The Voice.
Myles, who is the last remaining artist on The Voice, delivered a stunning performance of “Tennessee Whiskey,” a beloved country hit that was co-written by Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove. The tune was originally made famous by George Jones in 1983 and later re-recorded by Chris Stapleton in 2015 for his debut album, Traveller.
The fans chose this tune for Myles to sing as they believe it’s a song that represents the kind of artist Myles wants to be.
The 35-year-old singer from Nashville certainly proved why she continues to advance in the singing competition with her impressive Top 10 live performance.
Donning a silver fringe dress, Myles effortlessly belted out the lyrics to the fan-favorite country tune while showcasing her commanding stage presence and strumming an acoustic guitar.
“You’re as smooth as Tennessee whiskey / You’re as sweet as strawberry wine / You’re as warm as a glass of brandy / And honey, I stay stoned on your love all the time,” Myles sang, while allowing her powerhouse vocals to shine vibrantly.

Following her soaring performance of the country hit, The Voice coaches John Legend, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani and Camila Cabello raved over the singer’s exceptional vocal abilities.
“I honestly thought about it and it was like an award show performance. I really did feel that when I was watching you perform,” Legend gushed of Myles’ performance. “I think you’ve been one of the most gifted vocalists throughout this competition. I loved seeing you full in your element today. It felt like you were up there doing exactly what you were supposed to be doing.”
“I give you an ovation,” Shelton, who seemed speechless, raved. “It’s incredible.”
“My eyes hurt from how much you are absolutely shining up there tonight,” Cabello added. “I mean, you, I feel like you have superstar status. Every time I feel like you get better and better. I’m like we need this woman at award shows, we just need her.”
Myles has been a fan-favorite and remained a standout contestant on The Voice since she earned a four-chair turn during her blind audition of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.”
At the time of her blind audition, John Legend complimented her fearlessness and even told her that her audition was one of the most memorable auditions in quite some time.
“I feel like we don’t get a lot of people singing that song just because it’s so intimidating. It takes some cojones to come here and sing it with such confidence,” he said. “Then, we got to see your range, and you’re hitting those piercing, beautiful notes. It was exquisite. One of the best blind auditions I’ve seen in quite a long time.”
“You have such a gorgeous tone. I want to hear records from you. You kind of have a Rihanna-esque way of going like this, singing with your hands,” Camila Cabello added, which ultimately led to her to joining Team Camila.
According to Myles, she has been actively pursuing a career in Country music for nearly two decades now.
“I’ve been in Nashville for 16 years, but I’m a full-time touring artist. I’ve played 117 shows in the last year — solo, acoustic — in almost all 50 states,” Myles explained after her audition in September of 2022. ”There was days I was just about to lose it, but I’ve been very blessed because my parents have been my rocks in a really, really hard industry.”
Since the show was a live playoff, Myles needs America’s vote to move onto the next round of the competition (Semi-finals) and to earn a spot in the Top 8. The fate of Myles’ future on the popular singing competition show will be revealed during Tuesday evening’s (Nov. 29) one-hour episode of The Voice on NBC.
The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC.
