Jimmie Allen, Sean Paul, Charlie Puth and Jazmine Sullivan will serve as Battle Advisors for Team Blake, Team Gwen, Team Camila and Team Legend, respectively, on the upcoming Season of NBC’s The Voice.

The all-star Battle Round advisors for Season 22 of The Voice were announced via social media on Wednesday (Aug. 17), following teaser clips shared to each of the coaches’ social media accounts that had fans on their edge of their seats guessing who the advisors could be.

The clips shared on Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Camila Cabello and John Legend’s social media accounts teased fans with clues to hint at whom each of the coaches’ Battle Round advisor could be.

After one day of fans taking to the comments to guess who each advisor could be, the coaches couldn’t resist but to unveil each of their advisors.

“I couldn’t keep it a secret any longer… Welcome to #TeamBlake@jimmieallen!!!” Shelton wrote, revealing his advisor as GRAMMY-nominated country star Jimmie Allen.

“He is just an incredible performer, and he is so focused on what he does and he is clearly such a huge fan of music,” Shelton gushed of Allen during an interview with Access.

After teasing fans with the clues, “My advisor is one of the most prolific Jamaican artists ever. This person has had four No. 1 hits and ten Top 10 hits. We have a new song out together and it’s fire,” Stefani has unveiled that Sean Paul will be joining The Voice as her Battle Round advisor this season.

The pairing comes as no surprise as Stefani and Sean Paul recently joined forces for a new duet, “Light My Fire,” which appears on Paul’s latest album, Scorcha, which dropped in May.

“We had hooked up with this song, and I was like, ‘Gosh, you know, I should get him to do [The Voice] — that would be perfect,” Gwen recalled to Entertainment Tonight of her reason for choosing Sean Paul as an advisor. “I just asked.”

Stefani’s return to the singing competition show marks her first time on the show as a coach since winning The Voice with Carter Rubin in Season 19.

Camila Cabello revealed that GRAMMY-nominated singer, songwriter and producer Charlie Puth would be joining her team as a battle advisor for Season 22 of NBC’s The Voice.

Cabello and Puth are “good friends” and as Puth noted in an interview with Extra, “Camila is very good at pairing singers” together, which is why Cabello chose Puth as her advisor.

Legend revealed to E! News that he chose critically acclaimed two-time Grammy Award-winning R&B singer-songwriter Jazmine Sullivan as his Battle Round advisor.

In addition to sharing who the Season 22 Battle Round advisors would be, The Voice unveiled they are adding a new element to the knockout rounds: three-way knockouts. Instead of having mega mentors this season, The Voice coaches will work directly with the contestants to prepare them for the new challenge.

“For the first time ever,” the official press release reads. “This phase of the competition will include three-way knockouts. The stakes have never been higher for the coaches and their artists as they vie for the win.”

Season 22 of The Voice will premiere on Monday, September 19 at 8 P.M. EST on NBC.

The upcoming season will feature returning coaches Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani and John Legend with first-time coach Camila Cabello. Cabello previously appeared on The Voice as an advisor to John Legend.

NBC’s The Voice will air every Tuesday at 8 P.M. ET on NBC.
